What is commercial Photography?
Commercial photography involves taking pictures for commercial use. Adverts, merchandise, and product placement are all
examples of commercial photography. It is also used in corporate brochures and leaflets, menus in restaurants, and similar commercial
uses where photographs enhance a text. It is used to promote or sell a product or service.
What started commercial photography?
The Daguerreotype was the beginning of commercial photography invented by Louis Daguerre. The process would
polish a sheet of silver-plated copper to a mirror finish. They treat it with fumes that make its surface light sensitive, then
exposing it in a camera for as long as judged to be necessary which could be a few seconds for brightly sunlit subjects or
much longer with less intense lighting.
How much money you can make as a
commercial photographer?
As a commercial photographer you can make a salary at $29,765 to $75,067 annually with a bonus of $250 to $9,156. Also a
profit share of $800. The yearly salary is gonna be $24,594 - $74,148.
Typical day of work
A typical day of work might include you taking pictures of products for companies who could be big
time product producers or it could be a small business just getting started and can you could get a decent
amount of money for the business that's just getting started and a huge amount from a business that has a
name for themselves.

Education Needed
Commercial photographers can study at universities, community colleges, vocational/technical
schools or art schools. Associate's and bachelor's degree programs give the student a solid foundation in
photography and allow them to gain practical experience. Some photographers go on to pursue master's
degrees in the field. They can keep their skills up to date by participating in continuing education courses
offered by colleges and universities.
