Investigations in Science 7 June 16, 2017

What we did this week:

Happy last day of school!!!! This has been a wonderful school year and I am
sad to see my students move on to 8th grade. I am hoping that I will still run into
all of them next school year.

Monday, we continued learning about natural selection. We looked at a

population of mice that were both dark and light in color and how based on their
environment, the ratio of different colored mice changed.

Tuesday, we took our last assessment on natural selection and adaptations.

Wednesday we had our fun day. In the morning, we played Minute to Win it
and then watched a movie of their choice. In the afternoon we played on an
inflatable obstacle course, basketball, soccer, volleyball, indoor activities, or
walked and relaxed. Students received a Popsicle.

Thursday, we completed a section of our DesignFolio on mass extinctions and

an organism that has gone extinct. We also cleaned out our lockers.

Today, we will have time to sign yearbooks and say our goodbyes.
