I am at jury duty absolutely beside myself with having to sit in a room and not be running
around...However, life goes on, so here is the staff meeting agenda for today. Paul and
Susan will be leading the meeting, but please put down any questions at the bottom of
this if they cant answer them.

Meeting Purpose
Staff Meetings primary purpose is to provide time and space to disseminate information
that requires feedback or dialogue. Types of decisions and decision making protocol will
be indicated on agenda.

Protocols: Start and end on time, come prepared to learn, active and respectful listening,
assume positive intent, speak your truth with grace while monitoring air time and building
on the comments of others, confidentiality, and appropriate use of technology.

Homecoming Details
1:30 - 2:15 pm Pep Fest in gym
Advisors will escort students to gym starting at 1:25
 Make sure students bring their jackets and bags with them as there will be no
re-entrance after the game
Staff and students in reflection will go straight to the gym after reflection
2:15 pm Powderhorn park soccer field.
All students and staff will go to powderhorn park
Support staff will block main stairwell going to door 1.
Staff and students can exit the building from Door 11
2:30 - 3:30 pm Student & Staff Soccer Game (Led by Ali B. & John H.)
(2:15 pm - 3:45) Other activities on the surrounding field
Jump rope competition led by Saleban
Singing (Karaoke style) lead by Tannya
Dance performances and class lead by Adil
Tug-o-war led by Luke
Concessions (Takis, Cookies, Somali Tea, Arroz con Leche or Champurrado)

3:45 pm Clean up (all hands on deck)

4:00 pm Off the field (Field is booked starting at 4pm)

Parent Teacher Conferences are Tuesday, October 18 4-8pm, Wednesday October 19 8-Noon.
Licensed staff are expected to complete the work day on Wednesday, October 19th
noon-4pm because Friday, October 21st is a "conference conversion" day to make up for
the extra half day (evening conferences) in the Fall and Spring conference. This
afternoon time will be used for more home visits. If your team would like to see the list
of parents who requested a home visit, please see Susan. Please adjust your personal
calendars to reflect the evening conference on Tuesday and a full work day on
Wednesday October 19. Remember that Thursday is a flex day if you worked Monday
of opening week. If you did not come in on Monday, you will need to attend the MEA
conference or report to the building on Thursday. Friday is off for all staff.
