Project Title An evaluation of QoS for three different routing protocols in a Wimax Network

In Wimax network maintaining Quality of Service is a challenging issue as desired level of QoS for different
Brief types of traffic has to be delivered with high speed connectivity.
problem
The signalling techniques which are specified and defined in WiMax networks will not suppourt and manage
statement the avaliable resources.
(not general
background) So many researchers use CAC (connection admission control) .CAC is an algorithm that manages the
electromagentic wave to assure QoS

The Aim of the project is to compare CAC algorithm with distance vector and hybrid protocols for Quality of
Service in Wimax Network by using Network Simulator.

We are designing this application in certain range if the users increases also the algorithms maintain good
signal strength.

Main aim The Objectives of the Project:-

and specific 1) Research about qos in WiMax, CAC, distance vector and hybrid protocols
objectives 2) Design system using Network Animator[Simulation Software]
3) Implement CAC algorithm in WiMax Network by using network animator simulation[NAM]
NAM is a independent tool provided by the network simulator package.
4) Performance of CAC algorithm when compared other routing protocols like Distance Vector and Hybrid by
measuring the performance like throughput, latency and bandwidth by using xgraph – plotting program [Part of
Network Simulator Software]
5)Test and Evaluate

1) You are required to discuss and complete all sections from the Project Title to Anticipated Resource Requirements with your
supervisor, which will need to be approved by the Technical Support of the Department.
2) Once both you and your supervisor are satisfied with your final proposal, type in your name and also type your final agreement
number (a 12 character string) supplied by your supervisor (bear in mind, that there will be a matching exercise between these
numbers) and dates in the relevant boxes which would mean signatures for the electronic submission BREO.
3) You are required to name your PPFF as your supervisor’s initials (NB for Nik Bessis) followed by your student ID and then
followed by “PPFF”, all in one string, e.g. NB08765432PPFF.doc when submitting it on BREO.
