FIN5IFM mid-semester exam info

12:00 noon Thursday, 13 April 2017


You are assigned to a test venue based on your student ID as follows:
Student IDs from 15924253 - 18362947: TLC-115
Student IDs from 18378331 - 19148478: HSZ-101|Hooper LT
No change of venue is allowed without lecturers authorization. You are
advised to check the location of your exam venue before the exam time.
The test covers materials from Topics 1 to 4, questions/problems in
Tutorials 1 to 6. Use lecture notes/examples + tutorial solutions in your
preparation for the test. There is a set of practice test questions under the
Mid-semester test folder.
The test contains 20 multiple choice questions (both conceptual and
quantitative). You have 65 minutes to complete the test (there is NO
separate reading time).
A formula sheet is included in the test paper (It will also be posted on LMS
for use in preparation for the exam)
You are allowed to use a calculator, a pencil and an eraser. Have your
student ID card ready for checking.

FIN5IFM mid-semester exam instruction. Read this
info beforehand to save your time on the exam date
1. Turn-off you mobile phone and put it in your bag.
2. Take out your student ID card, calculator, pencil, and eraser. You are not allowed to
have any other materials. Your student ID may be checked during the exam, so
have it ready for checking.

ONCE LET IN THE EXAM VENUE:

3. Put your bag at the front stage.


4. Occupy the front rows as available (where an answer sheet is placed). There must
be an empty seat between you and the person next to you.
5. While the exam papers are being delivered, DO NOT READ your exam paper.
6. Write the version of the exam paper at a top corner of your answer sheet. Fill
in your student ID on both the exam paper and the answer sheet. FAILURE
TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN YOUR ANSWER SHEET NOT BEING
MARKED.
7. Start reading the exam questions only when you are told to do so.
8. If you need anything during the exam, raise you hand and wait for the invigilator.
9. If you talk with other students during the exam or if you look at another student's
exam paper or answer sheet, or if any other materials are found during the exam
at your seat, or if you are still writing when the exam time is over, you will be
recorded as cheating and your exam result will be affected.
10. Return BOTH the answer sheet and the exam paper once you have finished.
