Comedy Noir Pitch

We brainstormed about which genre we wanted to do and ended up picking Comedy Noir.

The idea being that it will make fun of actual noir films while including the same conventions. It will be
all black and white. It will always be shot at nighttime and raining outside.

A brief summary of the plot:

An ex-detective is re-hired following a series of trouser burglaries that have taken place around town.
People have been waking up to no trousers in their drawers. Some have also been murdered with the
trousers. The detective has to use his skills to track down the murderer. In the end, there's a twist; the
detective himself was the trouser burglar all along.

For locations...

The first scene will be filmed on a street and then in Christys house. Our friend has a personal bar for us to film
the second scene in.

Feedback:

We had a good reaction from our audience when we presented our pitch. Somebody said that, although a
comedy noir would be quite difficult to pull off, we would still be completely capable of doing it. It was also
suggested that we could include a femme fatale character, as another convention found in noir films.
