Objective: SWBAT blend onsets and rimes. SWBAT read and spell sight words.
Standards:
K.RF.01.A, Follow words from left to right, top to bottom, and page by page.
K.RF.02.B, Count, pronounce, blend, and segment syllables in spoken words.
K.RF.03.C, Read common high-frequency words by sight (e.g., the, of, to, you, she, my, is, are, do, does).

Model/Direct instruction:
-Model for students how to blend. Blend onsets and rimes (e.i. Mat, need, sock).
-Model for students how to blend. Blend syllables (e.i mop, Nick, mat)

-Allow students to practice onsets/rimes.

Independent task:
Group 1: SIPPS (day 1)/Sight word practice (day 2)
Group 2: Sight word practice (day 1)/ RAZ KIds (day 2)
Group 3: RAZ Kids (day 1)/ Sight word practice (day 2)
Assessment/Closure: Class discussion. Observation. Lesson worksheet. Closure: Have each student
say and spell a sight word.
