School Rules

1. School hours are from 9.20 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

2. Please do not leave your child at school before 9.10 a.m. and all children should be
collected promptly at 2.00 p.m. or 3.00 p.m. as appropriate.

3. Lateness or absences must be explained by Parents/Guardians in writing. This is a

requirement of the National Education Welfare Board.

4. Pupils will be permitted to leave the school only

(a) In the company of a teacher
(b) In the company of a parent/guardian or designated carer.

5. School uniforms must be worn by all pupils

6. Bullying, bad manners and rough behaviour are strictly forbidden.

7. Parents please note the following sanctions may be used to show disapproval of
unacceptable behaviour:

Reasoning with the pupil

Reprimand (including advice on how to improve)
Temporary separation from peers, friends or others
Loss of privileges
Detention during break
Prescribing additional work or extra homework.
Referral to Principal
Communication with parents
Suspension (temporary)
Expulsion
