RE: Monica Espinoza

It is my pleasure to write a letter recommending Monica for a tutoring job. Monica was my student

last semester at Fresno City College. She took my English 1A Composition & Reading class. She was

one of the most dedicated students in the class, missing only one day in the 18-week semester. She

did solid work all semester, earning a high B for the course. She grew steadily throughout the semester

and gained confidence in her writing skills as the weeks progressed. Her culminating paper was the

research paper. Hers was on domestic violence, not an easy topic to tackle, and she did an excellent job.

Her interaction with classmates was great, and her steady presence in the class was a real asset.

I know that Monica is active outside of her school as well. She is not only a student but she works and

she is involved in the youth group at her church. I know that her dedication makes her a valuable

role model for the young folks she works with there.

I wish I had more students like Monica in my classes; she will be a great addition to your tutorial staff!
