OPERATION OF BILGE SYSTEM

ENGINE ROOM:
1. OPEN INLET V/V FOR 100PPM SEPARATORE TANK
2. OPEN V/V 80V294008 100PPM CLEAN BILGE TANK INLET
3. OPEN 100A114001 100PPM SEPARATOR PUMP INLET
4. OPEN RESPECTIVE BILGE WELL .
5. RUN THE BILGE PUMP,CHECK THE PRESSURE.

NOTE: All engine room bilge must pass through 100ppm and
15ppm separators.
CARGO HOLDS:
1. IN PORT BILGE PUMPING TO OVERBOARD SHOULD BE
AVOIDED
2. BILGE WATER PUMPED TO BILGE HOLDING TANK
USING BILGE EJECTOR
3. THIS WILL BE DONE BY USING G/S PUMP

CLASS RULE BILGE :


INCASE OF EMERGENCY BALLAST/STRIPPING EJECTORS
051601051 TAKE SUCTION FROM BILGE MAIN OR FROM
FORWARD PORT BILGE WELL.DRIVING WATER IS PROVIDED
BY BALLAST PUMPS
EMERGENCY BILGE OPERATION
Incase of emergency bilge suction, f ollowing procedure should be
followed:
1. CLOSE SUCTION V/V PS SW PUMP
2. OPEN EMERGENCY BILGE VALVE

3. START PS SW PUMP

All bilge valves are NON-RETURN type. To prevent


accident flooding of any compartment if any bilge suction
left open by mistake.
