CITY OF SALEM, OREGON is seeking firms that have experience in the design
and construction of potable water slow sand filter sand cleaning systems.
This system must be capable of producing 5060 tons of clean sand per
hour, be portable, and meet performance specifications listed in the procure-
ment documents. Waste solids produced from the process must pass a paint
filter test and suitable for land disposal off site. Suitable electrical power and
process water for the pending sand cleaning system shall be available at the
Citys Water Treatment Plant. Samples of waste sand to be cleaned are avail-
able upon request for testing.
It is anticipated that this planned procurement will include both a
Request for Information (RFI) and a competitive bid process. Interested
vendors are encouraged to view available procurement documents
