problems.

Description of Student with Reading/Writing Challenges:

The student that I provided the reading assessment for is nine years old and mentioned to me that she doesnt
like to read. Her name is Faithe. Faithe is a friend of my cousin and an active member in girl scouts. She is
very outgoing and smiles a lot. When I asked her why she doesnt like to read, she told me it was because she
gets bored.

What is the discrepancy between the student and Faithe scored high on this assesement.

What types of differentiation might be needed? Faithe needs to be introduced to reading material that is
higher level. What I thought might be a challenge for her is
actually because she isnt being challenged enough.
What might an intensive personalized instruction I would introduce 4th or 5th grade reading material and
plan look like for this student? vocabulary to Faithe. She is interested in horses, so I
would provide motivational opportunities when selecting
reading for her.
