Seattle is 2.45 hr drive north of Portland. 173 miles. The city of
Portland is 1 hours west of the Gorge proper. (61 miles)

rather than be on the move all the time. Give me a lake with

Seattle is a great town, and definitely worth visiting while your
on the west coast, but it is also a terribly congested city. You
really do want to have a plan when you go into that city,
especially with big ol rigs. It is designed in a big way, around
public transit, so you want to be on the outskirts of town, close
to public transit. (they have the light rail stations, and I even
looked up one/parking, hypothetically driving in for a day trip).
Parking is an issue.
Its possible to go in a spend one night (for those who want) at a good ol
Walmart lot likely, close to public transport before moving on to
Portland or Hood River, that is not a preferred option for all so I will
just put a few things out about Seattle for your pondering. Ive been in
the wrong part of Seattle and had a crazy man jump on the hood of my
vehicle, scare the crap out of me. Its a safe great city, but like all cities,
comes with its coo coo for cocoa puffs.

Boise Idaho has a population of roughly 212,000 people, Walmart and

Jackson Hole is really the name through the multiple guides and links below, you really do want to give
of the valley that Grand Teton it a closer look.
Park is nestled in.
Jackson Hole is just the greatest little town. If you dont stay there, you
should definitely plan on taking a day trip, or spending an evening in
town, you will be very glad you did. The community is one hours drive
from the south entrance of the part but quite literally, there is so
much going on all around the Yellowstone park itself.

My suggestions. Remember, you cannot come down a hill any faster then you went up the upside of it, (the gear ratio zen thing), take your time. And stay away from the shoulders of the road. I

(can search any road blog from an RVrs perspective by googling road issue[;] and identifying the road, hwy or pass your interested in finding out about. (these RVrs, they stick together and
share a lot of good information about their experiences. Plus, you can search you tube for time lapse drive videos people have taken on roads they have travelled. What a wonderful world we
live in.
