Since these are two brand new companies in two different locations Toronto and Barrie,

no of users in each department are going to double since they provide higher productivity,
flexibility and wireless infrastructure makes it to reconfigure office space as organization
develops and changes, both bell and rogers are providing all service company need. Company is
looking for 1gig connectivity to internet, and I gig connectivity between locations. To make it
more redundant I would include one more router and make a connectivity of individual
connection of bell to one router and rogers to another router and make it cross. Now two make a
connection between these two network I would choose frame relay, I want to reduce network
operating cost, gain control over routing activates so I would choose point to point layer 2
service.

I have an option to either implement Ethernet or MPLS. As we know MPLS (Multi-

Protocol Label Switching) is standard protocol for site to site connectivity because MPLS gives
ensured performance for real-time, IP-based applications, for example, voice and video, to
straighten networks far from hub and spoke designs. Since I planned of implementing layer 2
service I would like to go with Ethernet. It is not a router based innovation. Ethernet works at the
more essential data link layer, and makes point to point or point to multi-point ways utilizing
switches instead of routers. Also, to add more redundancy, we will have 2 MPLS routers in each
location talking to 2 MPLS routers in another location for more redundancy. Layer 2 Routers will
be put into place to prevent any broadcast storms over the MPLS. This will also help us to
control our own subnets and keep broadcast domains small, which in turn saves WAN
bandwidth. ISPs will also provide QoS for better performance.

MPLS by nature is a redundant network. It is ordinarily overseen by an ISP that gives you
a connection with it, or a router that they will oversee too. At the point when data is sent starting
with Barrie then onto the Toronto, it's passed into a "cloud" which is a private system that the ISP
oversees. Packets enter the cloud and into the ISP's coincided network where redundancy is set
up. Although highly accessible inside, if the router that associates your remote site comes up
short, or the connection falls flat then site will be down in any case unless you have a redundant
network and connection there to get in the fizzled router place. Routers are capable of gig
connectivity since one router fails another router is capable of handling load. By using
redundant, meshed network designs, you can minimize the effect of link failures. Depending on
the convergence time of the routing protocols, a single link failure cannot have a catastrophic
effect.
As Cisco VOIP phones are used for communication between each department there should be a
dedicated server. VOIP needs a specific amount of bandwidth to make the communication
happening between the two locations should be clear and free of disruptions. After making a
calculation how many people will be using this service at the same time and how much load its
going to be on bandwidth if there is a tradeoff between audio quality and bandwidth usage. Since
QoS can also be used to provide guaranteed bandwidth for VoIP, and policing can be used to
restrict certain traffic classes from overwhelming the available bandwidth. For external VoIP, SIP
trucking lines will be used from Roger as its cheap. We will also use Bell analog lines to provide
more redundancy and failover in case of service outage. SIP lines will be encrypted to provide
more security. QoS will be placed on the MPLS as well to avoid any sound quality and/or latency
issues. In case there is a failover in VOIP we can use Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST)
to backup call processing in case there is a WAN failure. On-net calls go through the Frame
Relay arrange, and off-net calls are sent to the PSTN. The PSTN link is likewise utilized if voice
overflow or congestion happens on the WAN system. Calls are then steered to the PSTN.

The role of call processing for this two locations can be done with Cisco Unified
Communication Manager (CUCM). CUCM can used to establish IPT connection between IP
phones. Since these companies are doing lot of communication through VOIP phones they
should be scalable and distributable CUCM are the best choice. A single cluster of CUCM
servers is conveyed for redundancy in the server farm. IP telephones are conveyed on PoE-and
QoS-empowered LAN switches. The CUCM cluster supports up to 30,000 IP gadgets in a group.
Portal switches are arranged with PRI cards to legacy PBXs and the PSTN. A single group of
Unity or Unity Connection servers support phone message and brought together informing
necessities. IP telephones are sent on PoE inline power LAN switches.

The IP addressing ranges are assigned from 10.0.0.0/24 to cover the following departments sales,
customer service, Admin, finance, Marketing, R&D, Service, IT. The IP address are allocated in
contiguous IP address blocks to each of this areas and I have assigned VLAN to each individual
department. The routing protocol that will be used is OSPF as it provides the best scalability and
allows the company to use multivendor equipment which can be very helpful in future. This can
also help company in not getting into any forced contract with one vendor.
