Standard Error: a measure of the statistical accuracy of an estimate, equal to the

standard deviation of the theoretical distribution of a large population of such estimates.

Lower Fence = .21

Upper Fence = 15.97
- Therefore: There are outliers above the upper fence.
- They are: (16.75, 161.57, 23.87)

This chart is heavily skewed to the right.

The above graph is a visual representation of Outliers. They corrupt the data, because
outliers could be representative of bad data entry, or perhaps an experiment that went
wrong. Visually it corrupts the graph and moves the 5 numbers around making this graph
seem like its skewed heavily to the right, when in all actuality the graph could by
symmetric. Correct data entry is very important, as well as correct and accurate studies or
experiments.

Lower Fence = - 4.75 (No Outliers)

Upper Fence = 57.25 (Outlier is 59)
Mode(s) = (16, 22, 27, 30, 32)
Outliers: When you have outliers there are several possibilities that the data could be
wrong. The data could have been entered incorrectly, or perhaps an experiment had some
lurking variables that were not originally thought of. In any event, the outliers could also
lead to something statistically interesting as well!

The shape is slightly skewed to the right.

1) The first chart here that we will take a lot at is the Summary Statistics chart. This
is essentially explaining all the different facts that would be needed to record,
analyze and assess this information that would lead us to an educated guess on the
response variable in question, Carbon Dioxide Emissions. N being our population,
which means there were 34 cars that were in the study. Very interesting graph
indeed!
2) This next section is just my definition of what a Standard error is.
3) Next graph is essentially the same graph as #1, but with some of the fluff being
removed leaving the juicy data right out front which in turn makes it easier to read
and comprehend the data results.
4) This next section is a box plot chart. This is showing the 5 number summaries and
where the highest and lowest values are for Carbon Dioxide Emissions. This chart
is more of a visual representation of the Summary Statistics above regarding our
Response variable.
5) The next graph is the same one as seen above, however this time we have
included outliers in the data. Outliers are basically inputs of data that are heavily
skewing the mean of the data. I also included a little bit of my take on how we can
get outliers, you should read it.
6) Going to move down the Fat Grams in McDonalds Breakfasts. Who likes
McDonalds? Anyone? Yeah these guys have had a negative connotation for years
regarding the unhealthy food that they serve. How about some statistical data to
prove it? Well now isnt this interesting. Again there are outliers here so we have
to take the visual representation with a grain of salt, that or McDonalds has a
really unhealthy food product. The average grams of fat in a single meal at this
place are 28 grams, thats insanely huge! The next number that we should be
interested in, is the max number; 59. Thats like 300% of your daily value. Dont
eat out folks; make your food at home!
