 CONVERSION OF VIBRATION INTO ELECTICAL ENERGY

ABSTRACT

Different types of machine are used in day to day life .While using these machines we come
across different types of vibration which is generally wasted as heat. If these vibrations can be
converted into useful electrical energy then it would be a great development in the field of
energy conservation. To convert this ambient mechanical vibration into electrical energy a
system is develop which is known as micro electro mechanical system. This system uses variable
capacitor from which energy is transduced from one form to another that is converting vibration
into electrical energy. This electrical energy can be used for powering autonomous low power
electronic system and also this concept can be really useful in automobile where we find lots of
vibrations.

In this seminar there would be discussion in detail about the micro electro mechanical system ,
efficiency of this system , power given by system and about the further development in such
system and also about the devices in which such systems can be used to convert vibration into
useful electrical energy .
