DIGITAL DICE

Definition:

It is an electronic circuit for dice by which working of dice is controlled with

microcontroller.

Component Description:

Components Quantity

Microcontroller 8051 1
Seven Segment Display (common cathode) 1
IC555 1
Push Buttons 2
40 pin Microcontroller Base 1
9V Battery 1
10K Resistor 3
33K Resistor 2
0.01f Capacitor 2
0.47f Capacitor-16V 2

Softwares Used:

PROTEUS.
Keil uVision3.
C Flash

Problem Statement:

The discovery of dice was way behind centuries. In earlier days, dice
were made up of rocks, bones, woods, plastics, etc. In this modern era we are going to step
ahead trying make a dice with microcontroller.
Circuit Diagram:
Working:
The digital dice contains two push buttons S1 and S2. The microcontroller and
IC555 timer are connected in the circuit. When the switch S1 or S2 or both S1 and S2 is
pressed then depending on the duration after which the switch is released the circuit
performs its operation accordingly and the output is finally displayed on the seven segment
display.

Application:
The digital dice can be used in the game of lucky seven (gambling), ludo, etc. It
can be used to generate any single random number from digits 1 to 6.
