Memo

As I write, read and speak English as a second language, I face many difficulties and challenges

in the areas of reading, writing and speaking. However, I have learned a lot from practicing and

taking two of the University Reading and Writing Program classes at UNCC.

Challenges:

- Deliver the information correctly to the person who is listening to me or reading what I am

writing

- Avoiding using translator while reading or writing.

- Doing presentation in front of a huge number of students.

Strengths:

- Learned Academic English language (Writing, reading and speaking) for one year before

joining college.

- Not being afraid of making relationships with English Language speakers and joining debates

in English

- Reading English articles and novels, and watching movies without a subtitle of my first

language.
