I would like to recommend Mrs. Nicole Cowgill for your districts current
professional posting. I have known Mrs. Cowgill for two years, first meeting her as she
served as a fifth-grade teacher at Follansbee Middle School. While observing her in the
classroom, I witnessed her ability to grasp 21st century concepts and differentiated
instruction, which is so important for todays students. The use of technology tools and
hands-on approaches is proof that Mrs. Cowgill is in touch with todays learner.

During her time at Follansbee Middle School, Mrs. Cowgill displayed appropriate
and professional behavior at all times; she developed working relationships with other
faculty members, as well as a positive stake in our Professional Learning Community.
Mrs. Cowgill took part in discussions and provided her unique perspective and
enthusiastic take on education. Also, Mrs. Cowgill displayed appropriate and positive
relationships with the students in and out of the classroom.

While at Follansbee Middle School, Mrs. Cowgill displayed all indications of a

capable educator. She never backed down from a challenge and never refused a
colleague in need. Whether it was her relationships with colleagues or her diversity of
instruction, Mrs. Cowgill was a great fit in our educational family and is missed by all at
Follansbee Middle School. It is with ease and without doubt that I whole-heartedly
recommend Mrs. Nicole Cowgill for your professional position.
