Activity Description: Jeopardy Game Creating a working Jeopardy game using PowerPoint in
a nonlinear fashion

What you accomplished or learned: It can be challenging to put together a test or quiz, which
is essentially what we were doing in this assignment. I had fun thinking of questions and terms
that might be challenging or make students think. The next aspect of this assignment was even
more challenging. When I first read through the directions, I thought Id have to drop this class
and start over a different semester. Then I thought to myself, Youve come this far! You can do
this! I had to read everything a few times through, but when I finally got it, I was extremely
proud of my work. It is always fun learning something new, and I had no idea I could do
something like this on PowerPoint. Overall, I really enjoyed this project and will be referencing
the skills I learned in the future.

National Education Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S) Addressed:

1-Students leverage technology to take an active role in choosing, achieving and demonstrating
competency in their learning goals, informed by the learning sciences.

1b-Students build networks and customize their learning environments in ways that support the
learning process.

3-Students critically curate a variety of resources using digital tools to construct knowledge,
produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.

4-Students use a variety of technologies within a design process to identify and solve problems
by creating new, useful or imaginative solutions.

Application of Skills Learned in the Future: I could absolutely see myself doing something
like this assignment to prepare my students for tests. This could easily be a fun and engaging
review activity. I would have students create the questions for each other with what theyd like to
review and play this all together to get ready for a big test or quiz.
