Differentiate Hazard and Risk.

Hazard is something that will cause harm, while a risk is the possibility that a hazard may cause harm.
Hazard will not be risky unless you are exposed to enough of it that it actually causes harm while risk itself
may actually be zero or it may be greatly reduced when precautions are taken around that hazard.

Relate Safety Management to an Ice berg.

An Ice berg is known as a floating mass of ice that usually has a small chunk of its part showing at the
above sea level and below has a huge amount of ice. Relating Safety Management to an Iceberg is that the
small chunk that we see is the Safe and efficient woking environment, we can see all the employee are
working with ease and feeling secured. But behind all of that is the the huge chunk of ice or the foundation
shoud I say, and that is the Four Safety Management System, First is the Safety Policy that establishes
senior managements commitment to continually improve safety. Second is Safety Assurance that
Evaluates the continued effectiveness of implemented risk control strategies. Third is Safety Risk
Management that determines the need for, and adequacy of, new or revised risk controls based on the
assessment of acceptable risk and Last is Safety Promotion that includes training, communication, and
other actions to create a positive safety culture within all levels of the workforce.
