THEPROMISE OF THECHURCH FROM THE ORIGINAL PLAN OF GOD

Right from the falling of mankind in the Garden of Eden, God has plan a better way of saving mankind in
which he established his covenant with mankind in the book of GENESIS

God as promise the whole world through the seed of Abraham (Gen 18;18, 22;18 which was from the
lineage of David wich is from the tribe of JUDAH (2sam 2;4, Heb 8;8) down to our lord Jesus Christ.Heb
7; 14, Rev 5; 5

THE PROPHECY OF THE CHURCH BY THE OLD TESTAMENT PROPHETS

There are prophecies about the New Testament church that will be established by the prophet of God in
the Old Testament

A kingdom will be set up on top of the mountain Dan 2; 44,


A mountain of the lords house shall be established Isah.2;2-3
God will make a new covenant with the houses of Israel (we are spiritual Israelite) Jer 31;31
Messiah to be born of virgin Isah.7;14 (the fulfillment matt 1;23)
We shall be taking to Zion from the wilderness Jer 3;14 (Heb 12;22,28
We shall be giving a shepherds to feed his people with his word Jer 3;15(Ipet 5;1-4

All nation will gathered into it not only the Israelite alone Jer 3;17 (Mark 16;15-16

JESUS CHRIST PROMISE OF BUILDING HIS CHURCH


Jesus Christ promise to build his church matt 16;18, and he also promise to destroyed the temple and
rebuild the temple back within three (3) Matt 26;61 days which come to fulfillment when he dead,
buried and resurrected on the third day. And people were converted in large population in the day of
Pentecost

CHURCH HISTORY IN THE NEW TESTAMENT ERA

The event recorded in the New Testament took place in the real world of the Roman empire of the first
century of this era. Just as the event of any given day of life have meaning only in relation to certain
Cites, political institution, and person, likewise the history of the New Testament church is related to
some Cites, Political governors

Later in the third (3rd) century some set of people stood up and start acting as a court of appeal for the
problem between the romans officials and the people (CHRISTIANS) and they called them self the
ROMAN CATHOLIC

THE HEAD/ HEADQUARTER OF THE CHURCH

Christ is the head of his body the CHURCH, as he called it his church Matt.16;18, Eph 1;22-23, Col 1;18

Where the head or owners is that is where the headquarter will be, and Christ is in the right hand of god
matt 26; 64, mrk 14; 62 (mark 16; 19 ipet 3;22, rom 8;34)

Our headquarter is not here on earth but it is in heaven phl.3;20

THE CHURCH AND HER DESCRIPTIONS

In any organization set up by individual such body will be named after the owners names (CHURCH OF
CHRIST) meanwhile at the same time we will be getting it wrong if we belief that the church is given
only one name. There are other names of the church in the New Testament such as

THE LOCALITY AND AUTHORITYOF THE CHURCH

The New Testament church spread from one locality to another locality and each local congregation is
governing within his authority. And eachchurch is addressed and identify with their personality and
challenges

There are ways of becoming a member of the church; these are the example and authority from the head
of the church

There are various names the bible called the members of the New Testament church

The disciples were first called Christian at Antioch Act 11;26

NOTE that nobody was giving title of a REVEREND Psalm 111; 9, and there is no RELIGIOUS
FATHER Matt 23;9

There are various offices in the church not title or post as the people in the world use to claimed for the
edification of the saint Eph 4;12

1. The ELDERSthey are also referred to as the PASTOR, BISHOP, OVERSEA, RULLERS and the

3. The PREACHER is also refer to as the EVANGELIST and MINSTER1Tim 2;7, 2Tim 1;11 2Tim
4;5

WORSHIP OF THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH


Worship from the definition of advance learner dictionary means the act of showing respect for God or
gods especially by singing, praying and other things with other people in the church

TYPES OF WORSHIP

VAIN WORSHIP
These is types of worship that people zealously practices in the name of god but all their effort are in vain,
for they teach the doctrine and tradition of men Matt 15;2-9, they add and subtract from the word of God
Rev 22;18;19

IGNORANT WORSHIP

This type of worship are without knowledge and understandingof the word of God Rom 10;2-3, Act
17;23-31

TRUE WORSHIP

The true worship is the kind of worship god is expecting from every individual Christian, which is
practices in spirit and in truth Joh 4;23-24. The true worship is accepted by God when it is practices under
the New Testament law Rom 3;19-22, Heb 8;7-13, 7;18-19, Gal 3;10-11, 2Joh 9-10

SINGING (NON INSTRUMENTAL)


HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF SONGS IN THE BIBLE

Jubal was the father of instrumental songs Gen 4;21


Laban uses instrumental music to praise Jacob Gen 31;27 for man pleasure
God command Moses to make a trumpet (for the calling of the assembly) Num 10;1-2
It was used to praised god but god did not command it 2Chro 5;13-14
David was the author of instrumental music in the old testament, he use instrument to sing and
praise god and to console those who are in bad muds e.g Saul when he was sick 1Sam 18;10

David also used instrumental music to play before god 2Sam 6;5

NOTE that David was not a Christian, and he does not used it in worship as at that time

Later they bring it into the worship in the temple. AND God was silent about it 2Chro 29;25-26
But when they started abusing it Psalm 33;2-3,
God command them in the time of the prophet AMOS to take it away from his sight Amos 5;23,
6;1-5

UNDER THE NEW TESTAMENT

God says how can things without live given sound praise god like we human being 1cor.14;7
Instrumental music appears in the worship of some religious group during the Six (6) century in
the Christian era. And it became general during the Eight (8) century, which was opposed by
some religious leaders then John Calvin, John Wesley and Charles Spurgeon.

GIVING NOT TITHES


THE HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF TITHES

The first man that pay tithes in the bible was Abraham, and he paid it to Melchizedek when Abraham
brother was encamped and Melchizedek raised to fight with Abraham to rescued his brother, Abraham
give him the tithes of all the goods they return with Gen 14;1-ff verse 20

Jacob the son of Isaac also promise to give God the one tenth of all if God sees in through his journey but
he later came back with twelve (12) sons exodus 1;1-6. And God himself now chose one out of the twelve
to work in the terbanacle and for other tribes should work and bring their tithes to the Levites. Num18;21.

GODS PERCEPTION AND LAWS CONCERNIG TITHES AND GIVING

UNDER THE NEW TESTAMENT LAW

the tithes giving to them Num 18;26
The early Christian according their ability determine to share their properties among the brethrenwillingly
and cheerfully Act 11;29-30, Luk 6;38,Matt 5;42.
