REPORT TO ACCOMPANY THE ESTIMATE

NAME OF THE WORK: Labour Charges towards the maintenance of street lighting, 11 KV
line, LT lines, colony distribution network, offices and residential blocks at upper sileru camp
area for seven months i.e SEPT 2016 to MAR 2017.

AMOUNT: 5, 05, 044. 00

This estimate envisages towards the maintenance of street lighting, 11 KV line, LT lines,
colony distribution, offices and residential blocks at upper sileru camp area for seven months
i.e. SEPT 2016 to MAR 2017.
Presently the distribution section is having 7 No.s O&M staff out of which 6 No.s are
male and one is female. Out of 6 No.s male O&M staff, 1 No. O&M staff is having medical
problem, 1 No. O&M staff is P.H. and 2 No.s O&M staff are old aged. The present staff are
unable to climb the pole. It is becoming too much difficulty to maintain and rectify the entire
distribution section maintenance and complaints including the local telephone complaints
with less man power. The distribution staff is continuously getting engaged with 11 KV and
LT line emergency breakdowns. Due to above said reasons, the work Maintenance of street
lighting for the financial year 2015-16 was sanctioned in the Financial year 2015-16 for 4
months for an amount of Rs. 96,913.00/- as per the Working Estimate No. 22/15-16 of
DE/O&M/SLR to reduce the burden of work load to the Distribution section.
The electrical maintenance of AE-type(3 blocks), F-type(2 Blocks), ADE type(2 blocks),
SE type-1 No., DE type-2 No.s residential blocks, Project Hostel, Project guest House, DAV
School, Hospital, Filter House, Regulator Pump shed, TLC pump shed, SE/ EE Civil Offices of
Upper sileru are going to be added in addition to the present system.
With the addition of above mentioned electrical system to the present system, it is very
difficult to maintain the section with less man power of O&M staff and to meet the daily street
lighting complaints, LT domestic service complaints, local telephone complaints along with
transformers & Isolators maintenance and 11KV tripping emergencies along with 24Hrs fuse
of calls. Hence this estimate is prepared for 182 No. of Jobs to meet the electrical maintenance
of 11 KV line, LT lines, colony distribution, offices and residential blocks, maintenance of street
lighting for for seven months i.e SEPT 2016 to MAR 2017.
The estimate works out to Rs. 5, 05, 044/- (Rupees Five Lakh Five Thousand and Forty
Four Only). The rates adopted in the estimate are as per the APGENCO Minimum wages.
Sufficient Budget provision will be made available in the year 2016-17 to meet the expenditure.
