ONLINE ALLOTMENT - INSTRUCTIONS FOR B Tech/MSc PHOTONICS


(except B Tech Marine Engineering) Programmes
The following instructions are applicable to B Tech Programme only. Instructions for PG
programmes are given in the next page. Instructions for B Tech Marine Engineering will be published
separately.
1. Option Registration facility is available from 18/05/2017 to 28/05/2017.
2. A trial allotment list will be published on 23/05/2017.
3. Candidates can add/delete/re-arrange their options till 28/05/2017, if they wish.
4. If any candidate fails to exercise options before the stipulated last date, such candidates will
not be considered for allotment based on options. However, such candidates can participate in
the spot admissions, if any.
5. The allotments are published online only. Candidates shall login to their home page on each
day of allotment and check whether any allotment is granted or not. No individual
communications will be sent in this regard.
6. After each online allotment, the allotted candidates must confirm their allotment by
remitting the required fee within the specified date. Guide lines for making payment are
published separately in the site cusat.nic.in. Allotted candidates who fail to remit the fee
within the prescribed time limit will forfeit the allotment already granted and will be
summarily removed from all waiting lists. Such candidates will not be considered for any
further allotments based on candidate options. However, such candidates can participate in
the spot admissions, if any.
7. Allotted candidates who have accepted the allotment by remitting the fees should report
for counselling/admission on the specified date as per the revised counseling schedule for
B Tech published in the web site with all the certificates in support of his claim for
educational qualification, reservation and fee concession. If such Candidates fail to report
for admission on the specified date they will lose the allotment granted and such
candidates will be summarily removed from all waiting lists.
8. As soon as a candidate gets allotment to one of the opted courses, all his/her lower options
will be automatically cancelled.
9. Admitted candidates will be eligible for automatic updation to their higher options.
10. Whenever a candidate is upgraded to a higher option, his/her current allotment will be
cancelled and he/she should move to the upgraded course.
11. Allotted candidates after making the payment may cancel their higher options. Candidates
need to cancel their higher options if and only if they do not want to be upgraded to their
higher options.
12. For first year B Tech programmes, candidates having Keralite status only are eligible for
State Merit seats with concessional rate of fees.

MFSc/ M Sc/MA/MCA/ MCA Lateral Entry PROGRAMMES

The following instructions are applicable only for MA/MSc/MFSc/MCA/MCA Lateral Entry
programmes:

1. The allotments are published online only. Candidates shall login to their home page on each
day of allotment and check whether any allotment is granted or not. No individual
communications will be sent in this regard.
2. After each online allotment, the allotted candidates must confirm their allotment by
remitting the required fee within the specified date. Before making payment candidate
should ensure that he has the required qualifications for the course. In the case of candidates
belonging to reservation community, they should produce required certificates at the time of
admission. Guide lines for making payment are published separately in the site cusat.nic.in.
Allotted candidates who fail to remit the fee within the prescribed time limit will forfeit
the allotment already granted and all the lower options. However their higher options
will be retained.
3. Allotted candidates who have accepted the allotment by remitting the fees should report

8. If a candidate gets allotment in two courses, the candidate should pay only one course he/she
prefers. If payments for two courses are made the course for which payment is made last
alone will be considered.
9. Vacancies left unfilled after the specified number of online allotments will be filled from
waiting lists by the respective University Department/School. If required, spot admissions
will also be conducted. All the waiting lists will be cancelled before spot admissions.
10. Admission to MSc Industrial Fisheries will be conducted separately. Candidates
admitted to other programmes have the liberty to join MSc Industrial Fisheries if they
are offered admission to the same.
