Kalpana 17 is a Creative Cultural Fest organized by Sasi

Creative Colleges (Architecture and Business) to celebrate


creativity and culture.

The Fest is scheduled to be held on 28th February and 1st


March 2017. It is our privilege to extend our cordial
invitation to your students to join in this celebration.

We solicit your presence to make this creative cultural fest a


grand success.

We have enclosed the details of the events and guidelines for your
perusal.
General Information for the Participants

It is mandatory for the participants to bring their ID Card.


Participation open to school students from class 6th and above only.
College students of all years may participate.
Students bringing old Students/non- bonafide students to any event
will be disqualified from all events.
Number of Entries per Event per School/College: Max - 2.
One/more entries may be allowed only in case of slot availability.
Use of abusive language, obscene sequences, vulgarity, and improper
dress code will lead to direct disqualification.
Judges decision will be final and binding on all participants.
Organizers reserve the rights to change the guidelines of any event
without any prior notice.
The organizers have the right to cancel events on some genuine
reasons.
Spot registrations may be accepted at the discretion of Sasi Colleges
and subject to slot availability, and cannot be claimed as a matter of
right.
Canteen facilities are available in the College. The participants can
pay money and have Food/Snacks in the Canteen/Food Court

Timings:

Registrations: 8.30 am to 9. 30 AM on 28th February and 1st March 2017

Transport:

Transport will be arranged from Gandhipuram bus stand (8.00 am) and
Ukkadam bus stand (8.30 am) on both the days.

Common Guidelines for the Events

1. Solo Dance ( Schools & Colleges)


Each participant must bring their own fusion music of three songs
(Max-5 minutes) both in pen drive and CD.
Usage of fire, water and other potentially dangerous props is strictly
prohibited.

2. Variety Entertainment ( Schools & Colleges)


Team size A maximum of 6 members.
Musical instruments can be played as part of this program.
Total stage time cannot exceed 10 minutes. Teams will be penalized if
found exceeding this.

3. Group Dance ( Schools & Colleges)


Team size - 4 to 6 members
Teams have to bring their music track for max.6 minutes in a pen drive
and CD
Usage of fire, water and other potentially dangerous props is strictly
prohibited.

4. Fashion Show ( Schools & Colleges)


Team size - 6 to 8 members
Teams have to bring their music track for max.5 minutes in a pen drive
and CD based on their own themes.
Proper dress code is mandatory; teams can be disqualified by the
organisers in case of violation.
Usage of fire, water and other potentially dangerous props is strictly
prohibited.

5. Photography (Schools and Colleges)


Two participants per Team. Duration - 45 minutes.
Theme for the competition will be given on the spot.
A contestant can submit up to 3 best photographs for the contest.
Editing is not permitted.
The photographs should not exceed 1 MB size. Master file for the
photographs to be submitted upon request.
Participants should bring their own cameras and USB cable.
6. Rangoli (Schools only)

Two participants per Team. Duration - 45 minutes.


The Theme for Rangoli will be given on the spot.
Participants should bring their own materials for the event.

7. Face Painting (Schools only)

Two participants per team. Duration - 45 minutes.


Theme will be given on the spot.
Participants are requested to bring their own painting materials.

8. Mixed Media Collage (Schools only)


Two participants per team. Duration - 45 minutes.
Theme will be given on the spot.
Participants are required to bring their own Base board of 2 x 2 feet and
materials such as old magazines and newspaper, wooden blocks,
plastic, metal scrap, fabric etc.

9. Carving (Schools only)

Carving has to be done on the spot, without breaking or crushing the


item.
Material to be carved can include soap, fruit or vegetable, chalk piece,
thermocol etc.
Individual event. Duration - 45 minutes.
Participants are requested to bring their own materials.

10. Tile Painting (Schools only)


Two participants per team. Duration - 45 minutes.
Theme will be given on the spot.
Participants are requested to bring any ceramic tile of size 1 feet x 1
feet and their own painting materials.

11. Demo RJ (Colleges only)


Team Size 1 to 2 participants
The Team should enact the skills as RJ (Radio Jockey) for the Theme to
be given during the Event
Time limit - 3 minutes for the performance
12. Make me Laugh (Colleges only)
Team Size 1 to 2 participants. Duration- Max. 3 minutes.
The Team should make the audience laugh. Use of force, cracking
vulgar and indecent jokes will lead to disqualification of the team.

13. Style your Friend (Colleges only)


Two participants per team. Duration - 45 minutes.
Styling of Face and Hair to be done on the spot.
Participants are requested to bring their own materials.

14. Short Film (Colleges only)


2-6 participants per team. Duration of the film - max. 5 minutes.
Theme will be given at the time of registration.
Film can be shot any time after registration and must be screened
during the event time.

15. Team Adventure (Colleges only)


2-6 participants per team. Only one team per college allowed.
Demo and rules will be shared before the event.
Activities to be completed ahead of other teams.
Participants have to take necessary precautions for their own safety.
