ORDINAL NUMBERS IN ENGLISH

The ordinal numbers in English are very simple to learn. Most of them
are the same as the cardinal numbers, but with -TH at the end of them, for
example:

FOUR FOUR + TH = FOURTH

There are some numbers that are irregular and do not have -TH
at the end of them:

TWO SECOND
THREE THIRD

The numbers 100 and 1000 are HUNDREDTH and THOUSANDTH.

With numbers above 100, the ordinal number goes at the end:

100 One hundredth

105 One hundred and fifth
1230 One thousand, two hundred and
thirtieth

The ordinal numbers are usually written with only the last two letters:

Tenth 10th
Fifty-sixth 56th
