Seva Bharathi has been serving the poor for twenty-six years. It provides services especially in
the fields of health, education and empowerment.

Koushalam Centre for Excellence, Madikonda, Warangal District

60 Students 5 batches for were trained in 3 months in repairing home appliances like refrigerators, air
conditioners, washing machines, electronic ovens, etc. Out of these, 25 people got jobs, 19 people took
up occupational jobs and 16 people went for higher studies.

Computer Training Institute Madikonda :

Computer Training is provided for women according to their needs. 35 Women around Madikonda were
trained in M.S. Office, Photoshop, etc.

Computer Training in Government Schools :

Computer Training is provided to 8th and 9th class students 3 days a week at their school computer lab in
9 schools in Warangal District viz., ZPHS Madikonda, Sri Vedavyasa Public School, Madikonda, ZPHS
Rampur, ZPHS Unikicherla, ZPHS Mallikudurla, Govt. High School for Boys, Somidi, Govt. High School for
Girls, Somidi, Government High School Boys, Dharmasagar, Govbernment High School
Girls,Dharmasagar. Above 600 students from these 9 schools got trained.

Free Study Centres :

Government School Students from 6th class to 10th class who are poor, unable to study at home and
residing at Govt. Hostels are helped by clarifying their doubts, taught discipline and are made aware of
cultural aspects of life.

Teenage Girls Centers - 81 + 9 = 90 Total Teenage Girls : 1934

6 10 Class Girl Students residing on the outskirts and slum areas of Hyderabad are being trained in the
evenings for 2 hours in education, occupational education, health, yoga, Indian Cultural Arts, Culture, etc.
Inspired by this, centres were started that run for 2 days a week at Bhainsa, Kamareddy, Kandakurthi,
Sathupalli, Ramayampet and Makthal in the Telangana Region.

Over 1934 Girls benefited by these centres.

Bala Samskara Kendras

At certain places and villages, poor people are encouraged to appreciate the importance of discipline and
culture through stories, songs, games and sports. Through these centers 1458 students are benefiting.

Mobile Laboratory (Enthusiasm) :

It is very difficult for govt. school children to access a laboratory. For the past two years, a mobile lab is
taken to their schools once a month. They do the experiments in the syllabus. Thus they are getting more
interested in the sciences. Because of these efforts, the attendance of students improved and so did the
exams results. The pass percentage has grown by 30%. This brought a great change in the students.

S S C Exams :

In the academic year 2015 16, 62 students from 12 hostels and 7 students from a school i.e. a total of
69 students sat the exam. One student got 9.0, 3 students got 8.8, 1 student got 8.7, 5 students got 8.5,
3 students got 8.3, 5 students got 8.2, 32 students got 7.0 7.9 and 10 students got 6.0 6.9 GPA

Summer Camps : 4 Beneficiaries : 140

Summer camps were organized at Kukatpalli and Moosapet in Hyderabad, and at Damerakunta and Kotyal
in Medak District. Three hours a day, children enjoyed games, sports, stories, poems, songs and quizzes.
They were also trained in English and Vedik maths.

15 students from Kukatpalli, 15 students from Musapet, 45 students from Damerakunta and 65 students
from Kotyal participated.

150 students and 100 parents were present on the Final Day celebrations were organized at the govt.
school, Kotyal

200 children and 500 parents were present on the Final Day celebrations were organized at government
school, Damerakunta. The village sarpanch was the chief guest.

*7 students from Seva Bharathi hostel, 6 from vocational courses passed. In the Inter 15 students out of
23 passed.

Kishori kendras :

Full-timers of Kirshori Kendras : Total : 47

47 full-timers visited Ramayampet, Kottagudem, Sattupalle, Burgampadu, Mkttal, Achampeta,


Kollampalli, Marikal, Ramachandrapuram, Warangal, Nalgonda, Kamareddy and Bhainsa, and stayed at
these places for a week to spread Kishori Vikas Kendras. There, they explained the administration of
Kishori Vikas Kendras and benefits of these Kendras to the local workers.

Health : Beneficiaries : 1060

Free Diabetes Medical Camps :

From the year 1997, with the help of Dr K D Modi, Free Diabetes Medical Camps have being organized for
the past 20 years at Seva Bharathi Bhavan. 1060 people have benefited from these camps so far.

Free Homeopathy Medical Camps : Beneficiaries : 2325

On Mondays and Wednesdays, with the cooperation of prominent homeopathy physician Dr RV


Krishnamurthi, free homeopathic treatments are being offered at Seva Bharathi Bhavan in Kachiguda,
Hyderabad. On Fridays, Dr Aravind sees patients. So far this year 2325 people have benefited.

On every second Monday, free eye tests are offered at Seva Bharathi Bhavan. The needy are given
spectacles and if necessary they are operated upon.

The eyes of 224 people were examined. 80 people were given spectacles. 20 people were operated upon.

Mobile Hospital - Sanjeevani: Beneficiaries : 4092

This Mobile Hospital is taken to Chandrayanagutta, Sitarambagh, Ramanthapur, Setuganga, Sriram Nagar,
Budvel, Hanuman Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Midhani, and Arundhati Nagar in Hyderabad twice a month.
Medical services and medicines are provided free.

Blood Donation : Beneficiaries : 120

An index of 10,000 blood donors was prepared. In emergencies, the poor are delivered blood free of cost.

Help Desks at Government Hospitals : 4 Beneficiaries : 1,45,000

Patients who come from far off places to Gandhi Hospital, Niloufer Hospital, Government Maternity
Hospital (Koti), and Government Hospital (Manchirial) are helped at these Help Desks. They are explained
different medical departments and guided. Thus, they are saved from the unscrupulous middlemen.

These Seva Bharathi help desks offer help to accident victims and people in a dangerous condition who
arrive at Gandhi Hospital round the clock. Wheel-chairs and stretchers are kept at these desks for the
needy, the helpless and for patients who have no one. About 150 people are served here every day.

Shelter Home - Gandhi Hospital :

People who suffer from long-term diseases, people who suffer from incurable diseases and accident
victims come to Gandhi Hospital in thousands every day.

The Seva Bharathi Shelter Home at Gandhi Hospital serves people who come with the patients to be with
them or to be their attendants, patients who would be admitted after OP, patients who havent yet
received their medical reports and people who dont have enough money even to stay at cheap lodges
and hotels. About 150 people are provided shelter and served food twice a day free of any cost.

Tailor Training Centers: Beneficiaries : 145

Tailor Training Centers are run for women in Kukatpally, Moosapet, Balajinagar, Hyderabad and at
Madikonda, Warangal district. At these centers, women are trained in sewing, embroidery, maggam and
painting. This training helps poor women to work from home, make money, overcome financial problems
and live with dignity

PROGRAM DETAILS 2016 2017

12 April : Seva Bharathi conducted elecution and essay-writing competitions for government
schools students of Bhainsa and Kubeer Mandals in Adilabad district on the occasion of
Sister Nivedithas birth anniversary. Prizes were given away to the winners.

28 April : Forty-five students who were doing their post-graduation in Social Work from Mangaloor,
Karnataka visited Help Desk, Emergency Help Desk, and Shelter Home run by Seva
Bharathi at Gandhi Hospital, Hyderabad to study. They participated in the service
programs themselves.

Dr. Swarnalatha, Head of Jeevandan, Gandhi Hospital spoke about organ donation and
its importance at organ donation program organized by Seva Bharathi in the Shelter
Home. Fifty people took part.

3 May : Employees from Optum, USA visited the free tuition centers run by Seva Bharathi.

9 May : Forty women from Madikonda, Dist: Warangal were trained in sewing, knitting and
conversational English. In addition, they were trained to become beauticians.

11 May : Councillor Mrs Rani Chandulal came to the Annual Day celebrations of Kishori (teenage
girls) held in A P Nagar, Bhainsa. Kolatam, batukamma and other cultural shows were
performed. About hundred and fifty people were present.

15 May : Seva Bharathi organized a medical camp for drivers, cooks and watchmen from the north-
eastern states of Assam, Bengal and Orrissa in Siddiq Nagar, Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
Hundred and twenty-five people underwent medical tests and were given medicines free.
Dr Chandra Bhushan, Dr Hari Anupama and Dr Chakrapani with their staff co-operated.

15 May : A get-together of well-wishers and donors of Seva Bharathi was organized at Taj three-
star Hotel. There, they were told in detail about all the service programs that Seva
Bharathi had taken up. Prominent businessman, Mr Linga Ashok was the Chief Guest.

28 May : An orientation program was conducted for three days for full-time workers of Seva
Bharathi at Shree Saraswati Shishu Mandhir, Saidabad, Hyderabad. Prominent NRIs,

headmasters, principals and fifty-one full-time workers participated. Past service


programs and planning of future programs were evaluated.

28 May : Under the aegis of Seva Bharathi, a mega medical camp was organized at Jiyaguda,
Hyderabad. Two hundred and fifty people under went diagnostic tests in different
departments. People were given away medicines.

31 May : A forty-day summer camp was organized with the help of Vande Mataram foundation in
Kalvakurthi, Dist: Palamuru. Fifty-three students from four different hostels run by Seva
Bharathi attended. The students were trained in reading, mathematical skills, life skills
and arts. Mr Ramesh, manager, Grameena Bank, Palamuru visited the camp as the Chief
Guest.

13 June : A medical camp was organized with the help of a mobile clinic at Boduppal, Hyderabad.
Two doctors were there. Sixty-five people underwent medical tests and were given
medicines free.

15 June : At Shivananda Shelter Home, Sukheebhava organization started providing free night
meals. This was inaugurated by Minister for Health, Telangana, Dr Lakshma Reddy. Local
BJP MLA Dr Lakshman, Director of Sukheebhava Mr Sudhakar, superintendents and staff
of different hospitals were present.

19 June : Vidhyaranya Hostel, Madikonda run by Seva Bharathi was gifted a sound system for the
conference hall by Punjab National Bank. South Zone Manager, Mr Vinod Joshi was
present at the gifting ceremony.

21 June : Seva Bharathi celebrated the Second International Yoga Day at Shivanandha Ashram,
Padmarao Nagar, Secunderabad. Hundred and forty- two people took part. Swami Tatva
Vedanada Swami blessed the participants.

29 June : Training classes were held at Vandemataram Foundtion, Akshara Vanam, Kalwakurthy for
10 days. There, 280 students from 13 different hostels run by Seva Bharathi were trained
in LLL (Language, Logic and Life skills).

17 July : Seva Bharathi under the aegis of Mathru Bhoomi foundation organized Vana Bharathi-
Jana Harathi program in Amisthapoor, Dist: Mahabubnagar. The Chief Guest, PD of
DWAMA Damodar Reddy planted saplings and made students take an oath to do the
same. The participants planted 10,000 saplings in just one day.

25 July : A special medical camp was arranged at Chanchalguda Womens Prison, Hyderabad.
Women prisoners blood was tested and they were tested for diabetes, thyroid, etc. They
were given away medicines free. The Head of Gandhi Hospital Dr Hari Anupama along
with her staff took charge of the camp

21 August : A get-together of former students who resided in twenty different hostels, 15 in


Telangana and 5 in Andhra, run by Seva Bharathi was organized. Hundred and eighty
young men gathered and shared their experiences and feelings with each other. They said
they would extend their cooperation to the society.

10 September : Seva Bharathi organized a medical camp with the help of CSR, Appollo Hospitals for the
girls of Kishori Vikas Kendras at Loyala Pally, Ibrahimpatnam,Rangareddy.Dr.Jaspal Singh
examined sixty-five girls from the surrounding villages and gave away medicines.

23 September: Hundred and fifty workers of Seva Bharathi with three thousand sand bags
temporarily prevented breaches to the nearby tank when houses and slums in
Nizampet were inundated with flood water because of heavy rains in Hyderabad.
Forty Seva Bharathi workers distributed food packets in ten colonies in Alwal.
Fifteen workers controled the traffic.

29 September: A help desk at Manchiryal Government Hospital was inaugurated by the local MLA
Mr. Nadipelli Diwakar Rao. This help desk would guide people from interior
villages.

1,2 October : Seva Bharathi under the aegis of UCD organized a Service Fair at Gandhi Medical
College. This was inaugurated by Minister for Health,Telangana Dr. Laxma Reddy
who was the Chief Guest. Seventeen service organizations put up stalls there and
enlightened people about their programmes. Superintendent Dr J Venkateshwar
Rao, DCP Sumalatha and the principal of the college were present.

2 October : Seva Bharathi observed Swach Bharath in the areas of Gandhi Hospital and
Mehdipatnam bus-station on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi. 129 people from
Seva Bharathi, YFS Navasevak and Rotract club participated.

19,20 November : Seva Bharathi organized meetings of its full-time workers for two days at SPR
School of Excellence, Ghatkesar, Dist: Ranga Reddy. Prominent NRIs,
headmasters, principals and thirty-eight Seva Bharathi full-time workers
participated. They were given re-orientation.

26 November : Seva Bharathi under the aegis of Ayush and the Government of Telangana
oraganized a mega medical camp on the premises of Brook Bond School
Ghatkesar from 10 am till 3 pm. Minster for Health, Telangana Dr Lakshma Reddy
inauguarated this mega medical camp. MP Mr Mallareddy, MLA Mr Sudheer and
Chairman of Ayush Dr Rajender were present. Four hundred and eighty people
underwent medical tests and took away medicines.

4 December : Seva Bharathi organized a blood donation camp at the Government Hospital,
Kuttivellodi, Sitaphalmandi. Blood collected from forty-two people was passed on
to the blood bank at Gandhi Hospital.

24 December : Seva Bharathi was gifted 300 square meters of land with a building on it at
Boinpally, Secundrabad by Mrs Achanta Sundara Rajeshwari and daughters
Avasarala Srikanthirupa and Avasarala Nagashruti in the memory of Late Mr AV
Narsinga Rao, her husband and their father respectively. It was for Seva Bharathi
to run its service programs.

2017

10 January : Responding to the appeal of Seva Bharathi, Infosys employees (Mamata Team)
donated medical books worth Rs 5,00,000 to the ESI Medical College.

22 January : Seva Bharathi organized 5K and 10K runs for girls to empower them at GMC
Balayogi Stadium, Gachibowli. Employees of GGK, Cap Gemini, Genpact, Care,
Value Momentum, Vasuda Foundation and thousand girls of Kishori ran. A total
of 5,000 people participated.

Mr Dayakar Reddy of Cap Gemini, Chairman of Vasuda Foundation MV Rama Raju


and Chairperson of Venkateshwara Group of Colleges Mrs Surabhi Vani were
present. Seva Bharathi took a decision to start 100 centers in 100 slums for
poverty-stricken girls and 100 centers in Cyberabad in the next two years.

26 January : Seva Bharathi conducted a Mega Medical Camp at Sanathana Dharma Sathram,
Begam Bazar in Hyderabad. 914 patients came from 10 slum areas. They are
examined by 20 doctors. They conducted pathological tests and supplied medicines
free.

The Local BJP MLA Mr. Raja Singh attended this programme

29 January : Under the aegis of Ekalavya Ashramam - Seva Bharathi, Youth for Seva organized a
marathon run for tribal students and thalasemia patients in Manchirial Town. 980
youngsters including women participated in this programme.

30 January : Under the aegis of Seva Bharathi, Shivananda Ashramam conducted a free medical
camp in Beeramguda. 200 people came for free medical tests and medicines.

14 February : A free medical camp was conducted In Lalgadi, Malakpet, Shameerpet, Rangareddy
District. Mr Chandrasekhar Yadav was the Chief Guest. Sarpach B. Venkatesh and
Upa-Sarpanch Jagadeeshwar were present. 195 patients took away medicines free.

15 February : The Annual Day of Sri Vidyaranya Avasam was celebrated. South Zone Pracharak Shri
Ale Shyam Kumar was the Chief Guest.

19 February: Abhyasikala, Kishori Vikas Centres Annual Day was celebrated at Sai Dhamam in
Keesara. 524 boys from Abhyasikas, 190 girls from Kishori Vikas Centres and
representatives participated. This programme started at 9 a.m. lasted till 4:30 p.m.

20 March: In the academic year, 2016-17 76 SSC Students attended Public Exam.
