Tinki is a five and a half years old

little girl. She has smiling face with
small nose, big eyes and short hair.
She always keeps on jumping around
and like a girl of her age, is full of
many questions.

She lives happily with her mother,

father and grandmother.

She is very kind and is always ready

to help others. She likes feeding
birds and playing with her friends
and toys.

But of all the things, she loves her

bed the most, as she is fond of
SLEEPING.

Tinki Good morning. Wake up dear. Its 6:10 A.M. already. Wake up!,
called Tinkis father, shaking her up.

Tinki turned in sleep without responding. Getting up early morning is difficult.

Wake up darling. Dont you want to go to school, asked her father.

Tinki opened her eyes a little bit and sleepily inquired Isnt it Sunday today?

Why not! You want all days to be Sunday. Yesterday was Sunday. Wake up
now and get ready, called her mother from the kitchen.

Tinkis father took half asleep Tinki to the bathroom and placed her on the
toilet seat.

When after 10 minutes, there was no sound of flush, Tinkis mother screamed
Tinki! How can you sleep on the Toilet seat? Wake up or I will put water on
you.

I am awake Mom, replied Tinki. She came out of the bathroom and asked
hopefully -Whats in breakfast today?.

Its milk and chapatti for breakfast and Aloo Paratha in lunch box

Tinki became sad as always after hearing this. Mom! Daily same aloo
paratha. Please make something good today

And will you let me know what do you mean by good? responded Tinkis
mother while packing the tiffin.

Good means something delicious such as pastry, cake, pizza, burger,

Maggie or pasta..

Tinkis father, who was deep in reading newspaper, added you are forgetting
cold drink, my dear

Tinki Keep quite. Go wash your face fast and have breakfast. Take a
bath after returning from school. We are getting late today.

Tinkis mother kept the milk and chapatti on the table.

Tinki ate breakfast and picked her bag. School bus had arrived. Tinki went
inside the bus. She got a window seat!

She sat on her seat and bus started moving. There was a cool breeze
blowing through the window and as always Tinki had soon fallen asleep.

Someone knocked at Tinkis shoulder.

knock-knock.

When Tinki opened her eyes, she found two fairies with pink coloured wings
flying over her shoulders. They had purple and pink gowns and long shining
hair. There was colourful light all around them.

The first fairy said softly Tinki.. Wake up.

Who are you? How do you know me? Tinkis sleep had vanished.

The second fairy smiled and answered promptly I am Samantha and she is
Imaara and we have come from the fairy land.

And you dont know, but the whole fairy land knows you Tinki, added the
fairy Imaara.

Why? I mean how?, Tinki got curious.

Tinki, just like you read about fairies and know about us, we also keep
track of good boys and girls, explained fairy Samantha.

As a reward of you being good to others, our fairy queen Indrashi has
sent you an invitation on her birthday. Today there is a party in fairyland.
We have come to take you. Come on. Dont waste time.

But I am going to school and I have to take my parents permission, Tinki

said sadly.

We will do all that and will leave you home by evening, explained the fairy
Samantha. Dont worry. Come with us. Both the fairies moved forward to
hold Tinkis each hand. Tinki happily held their hands and ..
zzzuuuuuuummmmmm

The fairies took Tinki and started flying.

Tinki was flying above the flying birds.

They crossed first cloud, second cloud and the third cloud. After crossing
the third cloud, fairies asked Tinki Can you see that golden cloud?

Yes, the one that is shining so much!

That is our fairy land. Now, get ready

to land. Both the fairies left Tinkis
hand after saying this.

Nooooooooooooooooo

Tinki started falling too fast. She closed her eyes in fear!

Suddenly, there was a sound of Dhhupppp and Tinki stopped falling!

When Tinki opened her eyes, she was standing in the middle of the big
golden cloud. She was buried till her knees in the cloud and was enjoying.
Both the fairies were standing near to her and smiling.

How do you feel Tinki? Welcome to our fairyland, questioned fairy Imaara
and both of them pulled Tinki out of the cloud.

Then came the queen fairy Indrashi. She was looking gorgeous in shining
pink gown and golden crown on her head. Behind her, another fairy was
standing with an umbrella.

Queen fairy Indrashi shook hands with Tinki and said in her sweet voice
Welcome to fairy land Tinki. We all were waiting to meet you. Come and
enjoy todays party. Girls, take Tinki along with you and show her the
magical fairyland. The queen fairy told Tinki that she will meet her at
the party venue.

Around 10 fairies came running towards Tinki. They told, Come, we will
take you to a tour of our fairyland

All things in Fairyland were beautiful and clean, with golden clouds and very
pleasant weather. Trees made of candies, rocks made of biscuits and
strawberry treasure. Waterfalls and ponds were filled with cold drink.

There were flowers that kept changing colours time to time. Tinki was very
happy as she has not seen such a beautiful place.

There were rivers on the path in which colourful fishes were there that
could talk! As soon as fishes saw Tinki, they started shouting Tinki-Tinki.
Tinki also moved her hand excitedly towards them.

On the entire route, a group of birds kept moving with them and there was a
green coloured sparrow who was sitting on Tinkis shoulder.

Soon Tinki and fairies reached the party venue.

Party was on a big golden cloud. There were fairies all around. Some
dressed in orange, some blue and some green.

There was a big cake in between and everyone took pieces from it.

The table was full of chocolate, toffee, cold drink, pizza, muffin and many
delicious stuff.

Then suddenly one of the fairies held Tinkis hand and

told, Come, lets have fun and she jumped into the
pool with her.

This was a chocolate pond! Wow!! There was fun all

around. There were so many games. Tinki had not had
this much fun ever.

She did not realize how fast the time passed.

Then queen fairy Indrashi

concluded Tinki, its about
to be evening. You should go
back now. She took out a
pearl necklace and gave it
to Tinki and told This is a
gift from our side.
Whenever you will touch this
and remember us, fairies
would come.

A little fairy came and

tightly held the necklace
No. This is mine.

Tinki did not

want to leave
such a beautiful
necklace. She
tightly pulled the
necklace towards
herself Leave
it. This is my
gift.

And in the bus, didi lightly slapped Tinkis shoulder. Tinki. Leave my scarf

Tinkis eyes opened. She was holding didis scarf. She was in the bus and
everyone was laughing.

This girl is mad, said didi, moving her hand on Tinkis head lovingly.

Tinki was missing the fairyland. When she opened the tiffin in school,
there was that cake from the party in fairyland in the tiffin instead of
aloo paratha.

Tinki became happy. She looked towards the sky and whispered Thank you
Queen Fairy

At Tinkis home, Tinkis father asked Tinkis mother, Why do you tease
Tinki by saying aloo paratha for lunch.

Anyways, good. She would be surprised when she will see cake in place of
aloo paratha
