Scene 1: -BERBANIA *Insert happy music*

Storyteller: The Kingdom of Berbania is ruled by the great and good King Fernando and Queen Valeriana.
They have 3 sons, Don Pedro is the eldest son, Don Diego is the second and Don Juan is the youngest
among three. The people in Berbania was always living with peace and abundance with what they need.
Ang kaharian ay laging punong-puno ng kasiyahan at kasiglahan. ( Berbania- People celebrating, happy,
happy and happy)

Scene 2: KINGS

Storyteller: One night, the King dream King Fernando: *Wakes up* What a scary dream, my dear son
Juan was traitorously killed and trown in a deep well. My dream seems to be realistic, what should I do
with my Juan, I cant accept of something happened to him.

Queen Valeriana: Are you okay my husband?

King Fernando:*continues coughing, feeling sick*

Storyteller: Days had passed but King Fernandos situation is not getting any better

Queen Valeriana: Call all the doctors that can cure my dearest husband

Servant: Yes, My Queen (The Doctors entered the Kings Room)

Doctor 1: Im sorry Queen Valeriana but I cant cure the King

Doctor 2: The king has an incurable illness

Storyteller: Until one day, an albularyo came and told them (The albularyo was checking the condition of
King Fernando when the 3 sons entered)

Don Pedro: What happened to my father?

Albularyo: The Kings illness wont be cured by ordinary doctors

Dong Juan: Then, what should we do?

Albularyo: You need to get the Adarna BIrd.

Valeriana: A-adarna Bird?

Albularyo: Yes the Adarna Bird lives in Mt. Tabor and only be seen at night time.
Don Pedro: Then I will go there and get the Adarna Bird

Albularyo: Do you think by just going to the Mt. Tabor you can easily get the Adarna Bird?

Diego and Don Juan: Huh? Why

Albularyo: The Adarna Bird is hard to catch, whenever she gets home from finding her foods she sang
seven times; and every song she sing her feathers change into different colors. After singing (she always
makes ipot to the ones who are listening and turned them into a stone)

King Fernando: It--s re-ally difficult to get the Adarna Bird

Don Pedro: I will bring here the Adarna bird for you Father

Queen Valeriana: Are you sure Pedro?

Don Pedro: Yes I am the oldest son, I should do it for father (Don Diego and Don Juan were looking at
Don Pedro)

Valeriana: Then, take care of yourself Pedro

Juliet Scene 3 FOREST

Storyteller: Don Pedro went to Mt. Tabor and he saw the Golden tree; Pieldas Platas

Pedro: So that is the Golden tree the Albularyo was talking about, I think Im very early because the
adarna bird is not here yet. Im sure I can catch it and give it to my father. I will just sit here and wait for
her (Adarna Bird is singing and she turned Don Pedro into a Stone)

/SOUND EFFECT/ Scene 4: Kings Room

Storyteller: While the people in Berbania were waiting for Don Pedro to come back they had decided
to Queen Valeriana: Pedro hasnt come home yet, Diego I think you should follow your brother

Don Diego: Yes mother, I will be back soon with my Brother

Don Juan: Take care my brother

Storyteller: Don Diego also went to find the Adarna Bird

Scene 5: FOREST

Don Diego: Im so tired, if not only for my father I wont be here. My brother Juan is at home, doing
nothing while me? Sacrificing my time and having a really hard time.

Old Leper: Give me some food to eat (was about to hold don diego

Don Diego: Dont touch me! I still need to travel far and I dont have any food for you. Go away!!!
(tukmod the old leper) (Don Diego continued his journey and when he is already in the Golden Tree)

Don Diego: (looks at his brother, Pedro who turns out to be a stone) Huh, so Pedro became a stone?
Tsktsk. I will get that Adarna Bird and we will go back to Berbania with my brother Adarna Bird landed
on the Golden Tree
Don Diego: That is the Adarna Bird? I will surely catch that

Storyteller: but in the middle of the Adarna Birds singing, Don Diego fell asleep and just like Don Pedro,
he failed and turned into a stone

Scene 6: KINGS ROOM

Storyteller: Three years had passed but Don Pedro and Don Diego hasnt come back yet.

Don Juan: Mother, Father I think I should follow my brothers and bring here the Adarna Bird

King Fernando: *cough* No, Juan its fine if you wont go there because it would be so dangerous for you
Don Juan: No father, I insist, I promise that I will be back and bring the Adarna Bird and my Brothers
Storyteller: Even though King Fernando was worried to his youngest son; Don Juan. He still gave his
permission.

Scene 7: FOREST WITHOUT THE BIG TREEE

Storyteller: Don Juan started his journey on finding the Adarna Bird, he experienced so much hardship.
while He was walking he met an old leper.

Old Leper: Im so hungry I do not have something to eat

Don Juan: Here is the last piece of bread granpa

Old Leper: How about you? You would be hungry to wherever you are going

Don Juan: Its fine with me, you need it more than I do

Storyteller: Don Juan helped the old leper without knowing that he is a Hermit (MUGAWAS KALIT SI
DIGNOS, NIYA SI ISHANG KAY MAWAGTANG)

Hermit: Because of your good and pure heart I will give you this.

Don Juan: Wha-aat is this?

Hermit: You can use that so that you cant sleep when the Adarna Bird started singing

Don Juan: How did you know I would be going there?

Hermit: I know BECAUSE, IM A HERMIT.

Juliet Scene 8 FOREST WITH ZIZYL

Storyteller: Don Juan arrived to the Golden Tree, and there he was amazed to the beauty of the Adarna
bird. When the Adarna bird started singing he uses the things that the old hermit gave him.

Don Juan: I shouldnt be asleep or else Ill end up just like my brothers here. I need to bring my father
the cure so that the kingdom will be back to what it is before. (CLOSE)

Storyteller: Don Juan succeeded in catching the Adarna bird, and his brothers came back to their normal
figures. While they are on their way home (OPEN CURTAINS )

Don Pedro: We need to get the Adarna bird from Juan

Don Diego: Why? He saved our life Don Pedro: Do you want to go home and be ashamed that we didnt
catch the Adarna? We should get that to Juan so Father would be proud of us

Don Diego: Okay (INYO NA DAYON BIRAHAN SI DON JUAN, NIYA BIYAAN NA NINYO)

Storyteller: Don Diego and Don Pedro did their plan to BEAT their youngest sibling. They steal the
Adarna Bird and left Don Juan unconscious (MU AGI SI RENZ THEN IYANG ISULTI NA )

Passerby: Poor child, what happened to you? I will bring you to my house and treat your wounds.
Storyteller: Don Juan thanked the Passerby for helping him and he immediately went back to the
Kingdom of Berbania (close curtains)

Scene 9: KINGS ROOM

Storyteller: When Don Pedro and Don Diego arrived to the Kingdom the Adarna Bird is not singing and
its feathers turned ugly. But when Don Juan came to the palace, the Adarna Bird regains herself and
started singing

DON Juan: Father Im here. Adarna Bird: *sang a song about what happened to Don Juan, about
katraydoran of Pedro and Diego*

King Fernando: Im fine now, thank you for bringing me the Adarna Bird and Juan Im happy that you
came back safely

Adarna Bird: Honestly (everyone was shocked when the adarna bird talks) when we are on our way here
Don Diego and Don Pedro make bugbog to Don Juan, because Don Juan is the one who captures me.
King Fernando: WHAT? YOU DID THAT TO YOUR BROTHER!! I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOU TWO, YOU SHOULD
BE ISALIKWAY AND TANGGALAN NG KARAPATAN NA MAKATUNGTONG DITO SA BERBANIA

Don Pedro: Father, were sorry for what weve done.

Don Diego: Yes Father, sorry we will not do it again

Don Juan: Father, please forgive them for what they have done. Im here and Im fine.

Scene 10: BERBANIA

Storyteller: The Kingdom of Berbania came back to what it is before. Happy and peaceful. King Fernando
was so fond of the Adarna bird thats why he let his sons guard the Ibong Adarna. This gives a new
chance for Don Pedro and Don Diego to make a new wicked plan.

Don Pedro: We should free the Ibong Adarna when Juan is the one guarding it

Don Diego: Okay.

Storyteller: When its Don Juans turn in guarding the Adarna Bird, he fall asleep and the two wicked
brothers made an action to their plan.

Don Juan: Wheres the Adarna Bird? I should find it back because Im sure this is Don Pedros doings and
I dont want them to be punished by my father
Storyteller: As the sun rises Don Juan immediately seeks the Adarna Bird. And when the King found out
that Don Juan is missing, he commanded Don Pedro and Don Diego to find their brother.

Don Pedro: Yes father, we will bring Juan here so that you will punish him

Don Diego: Right, hes so careless for what he has done he should be punished

Scene 11: FOREST THEN WITH A WELL

Storyteller: Don Pedro and Don Diego found Don Juan in Armenya. They were amazed to the place thats
why they decided to stay there and never come back to Berbania. One day they found a deep magical
well. Don Pedro and Don Diego attempted to discover whats hidden on the mysterious well

Don Pedro: We should found something there, it could be treasures!

Storyteller: Don Pedro and Don Diego failed to feed their curiosities, unlike the two, Don Juan succeeded
in discovering whats inside it. He saw two ladies guarded by a Giant and a Serpent.

Don Juan: Are you two living here?

Donya Juana: Yes weve been living here and we cant go out because of that serpent and giant guarding
us the whole time.

Don Juan: Dont worry Ill save you and we will be back to berbania. (Don Juan started fighting the
serpent and the giant)

Donya Leonora: Thank you for saving us! (CLOSE)

Storyteller: When they are about to travel back to Berbania, something happened. (OPEN CURTAINS)

Donya Leonora: I forgot my ring that was given to me by my mother. Its very important, I will go back
to-

Don Juan: No need, Ill just be the one to get it for you.

Storyteller: When Don Juan was about to get back and get the ring, Don Pedro and Don Diego envied
Don Juan and they cut the rope that Don Juan is using and he ended up hurting himself.

Don PEDRO: WAIT FOR US HERE, WE WILL FOLLOW JUAN

DONYA JUANA: OKAY (ILA GI SUNDAN SI JUAN NIYA ILA GIPUTL ANG PISI)

Don Pedro: Lets get back to Berbania now, He will just follow us.

Don Diego: Lets go now (CLOSE)

Juliet Scene 12: FOREST

Storyteller: Don Juan was saved by the Lion who was commanded by Donya Leonora because she was
worried by what had happened to Don Juan.
Don Juan: Im so thankful that I am fine, I need to go back to Berbania now ( Don Juan was walking
when he cross paths with the adarna bird, he was shocked)

Adarna Bird: Juan, dont go back to Berbania. It would really be dangerous for you because your
brothers wont stop hurting you.

Don Juan: But, I cant stay in this forest forever, I need to be on Berbania because Leonora is waiting for
me!

Adarna Bird: No Juan!, You must forget about Leonora now

Don Juan: But why! I love her so much

Adarna Bird: Do you think Leonora is for you? If only you can see Maria Blanca!

Don Juan: And what about her?

Adarna BIRd: She is the one whos destined for you Juan, she is the beautiful princess of Reino De los
Cristales. She is a powerful princess

Don Juan: Then where can I find her?

Adarna Bird: You will cross the mountains and rivers for you to find your true love, if you are really
willing then nothing can stop you (Closed Curtains)

Kids who are listening to their grandmother

Kid 1: Grandmother, why is Juan facing a lot of challenges that so sad for him

Kid 2: But granny, will he really met his true love?

Kid 3: And granny what happened to Berbania?

Kid 4: Silent! Lets just let grandma continue her story!

Grandmother : Do you really want me to continue?

Kid 5: Yes grandmother! We are really willing to listen

Storyteller: Then, let's go back to the story. Don Juan experienced a lot of hardships in finding the place
of Princess Maria Blanca. But all of his hardships were paid off when he saw Princess Maria Blanca, but
then Don Juan still needs to face another challenge for him to live together with princess Maria Blanca
SCENE 13: REINO DE LOS CRISTALES (Opens curtains, Maria Blanca is walking in the garden of their
palace)

Don Juan: My dearest Maria Blanca is very pretty, and I want to marry her (They met gaze and Maria
Blanca makes tagak of her panyo, then Don Juan get it from the ground and give it to Maria Blanca)

Don Juan: Here is your handkerchief, (bows /gentlemen gesture/)

Maria Blanca: Thank you, what is your name?

Don Juan: I am Don Juan, one of the Prince of Berbania

Maria Blanca: and what are you doing here in Reino De los Cristales?

Don Juan: The Adarna Bird told me that I will meet the person whos destined for me here

Maria Blanca: Really? And who is that girl?

Don Juan: You dont know your name my lady? From the moment Ive laid my eyes on you my heart
already feels that you are the one that Ive been searching for.

Maria Blanca: (giggles with excitement) Really? Come with me and I will let you meet my mother (they
went to the met the Queen/mother salerma)

Queen Salerma: Who is that boy Maria?!

Maria Blanca: He is

Don Juan: I am Don Juan of Berbania Queen Salerma: And? WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING
HERE?

Maria Blanca: Mother, dont scared Juan

Queen SAlerma: What? Im not scaring him. What is he doing here? This is not the Kingdom of BErbania!
This is my Kingdom; Reinos De Lo Cristales

Don Juan: I know, because this is the home of the person I want to spend my whole life with (looks at
Maria BLAnca)

Queen Salerma: WHAT? Do you mean you will marry my daughter, Maria Blanca?

Don Juan: Yes Queen Salerma

Queen SAlerma: NO way! No one is marrying anyone!

Maria Blanca: But mom

Queen Salerma: I said NO!

Don Juan: I will do anything just to marry Maria Blanca, queen salerma

Queen Salerma: (she is thinking deeply) REALLY? Then, do anything that I will tell you. Pass all the
challenges that I will give you

Don Juan: Yes, I will do anything for my love (Close Curtains)

SCENE 14 : STILL IN REINO DE LOS CRISTALES

Storyteller: Don Juan has faced almost all the challenges that Queen Salerma gave, of course with the
help of the powers of Princess Maria Blanca. And he was about to face the last challenge so that he can
marry Maria Blanca. Juliet

Don Juan: Maria, this will be the last challenge. I have turned a mountain into plains, I have bathed the
Negritos and Negritas and thats because of your magical powers Maria.
Maria Blanca: I know, and I believe you will passed this last challenge that my mother will give you
(Queen Salerma enters in the scene)

Queen Salerma: So what are you two talking about?!

Maria Blanca: nothing mother

Queen Salerma: okay, then the last challenged would be (close curtains)

Storyteller: Queen Salerma gave Don Juan the last challenged

Maria Blanca: Are you oaky Juan?

Don Juan: Maria, the last challenge is really difficult even you who have powers cant do it.

Maria Blanca: Then what should we do? I want to marry you Juan

Don Juan: Will you come with me on Berbania? We can live there.

Maria Blanca: Yes Juan, I will come with you (mutakas na dayon sila)

Storyteller: Don Juan and Princess Maria Blanca eloped and left Queen salerma who is very angry and
she even sumpa Don jUan for what hes done

Queen Salerma: DON JUAN!!! HOW DARE HE BRING MY PRINCESS WITH HIM. CURSED HIM HE LOOK AT
OTHER GIRLS EYES, HE WILL FORGET ABOUT MY DAUGHTHER (mulakaw si queen niya mahabilin sila
maria ug juan na nagtago sa kilid)

Don Juan: We really need to go back to berbania now, maria

Maria blanca: Yes juan, my mother sumpa me and we need to be careful that you wouldnt look at any
other girls eye (Close curtain)

Storyteller: Don Juan and Maria blanca was on their way to Berbania when Don Juan decided to left
maria blanca so that he can tell the people on Berbania to prepare for the coming of Maria Blanca.

SCENE 15: FOREST

Don Juan: stay here Maria, I will be back immediately

Maria blanca: Juan, are you sure you will leave me here? Im worried that you will look at other girls eyes
Don Juan: No Maria, I will look into your eyes only

Maria Blanca: Okay Don Juan, just promise me you will get me back

Don Juan: Yes, Maria I promise (Close curtains)

Storyteller: When Don Juan arrived to Berbania, King Fernando was so happy and there... He saw
someone who is patiently waiting for his coming, Donya Leonora. Don Juan ended up breaking his
promise to Maria Blanca. Don Juan and Donya Leonora decided to marry each other and when Maria
Blanca heard the news...

Maria Blanca: Why is Juan not coming back yet. Did he broke his promise? (Sad) Nooo, I need to know
what happened to him. (Iyang gikuha iyang magic singsing) I have the powers to see whats happening to
Juan. Hmmm (She is looking at the magic ring, and saw that Juan is marrying Leonora) WHATTT! THIS
CAN'T BE, I'M THE ONLY ONE FOR JUAN. I NEED TO GO TO BERBANIA AND STOP THE WEDDING,
BECAUSE IT SHOULD BE ME SCENE 15 (BERBANIA)

Storyteller: Maria Blanca went to Berbania on the wedding day of Don Juan.

Maria Blanca: I am the princess of Reino De los Cristales, I am her to give a present to Don Juan and
Donya Leonora.

King Fernando: Thank you for coming here Princess, so what is your present to them?

Maria Blanca: I will be sharing a very nice story about love and hardship.

King Fernando: Okay. Go on

Maria Blanca: There was a brave young man who arrived in the Kingdom of Cristal, the young man went
there to find the girl that's meant for him. At first, he doesn't know that there is someone destined for
him. But the Adarna Bird told him everything about his love and the girl whos waiting for him (Don Juan
was holding his head because he remembered something)

Donya Leonora: what's happening to you are you alright?

(Maria Clara continues in talking about her story mao ni iyang gi ingon: the young man faced a lot of
challenge because the Mother of the girl doesn't like the young man's braveness--)

Donya Leonora: Stop talking! Don Juan is not liking your story

Don Juan: No, I remember her! She's Maria Blanca the one who's destined for me

Maria Blanca: Thank You Juan, for remembering me!! (Don Juan dool to maria blanca) Don Juan: Maria
Blanca, my love!

Maria Blanca: Juan!!! (They hug each other)

Donya Leonora: No!!! Juan is for me. We are getting married now

Maria Blanca: I'm sorry but he loves me more than you do

Donya Leonora: I've waites for you Juan, but I think, we're really not meant for each other

Don Pedro: Don't be sad Loenora!!! I'm here for you, I will do everything to make you happy!

King Fernando: Then, everything is set now! We will have 2 wedding!!!

Storyteller: And they live happily ever after. Don Juan and Maria Blanca went back to the Kingdom of
Reino De los Cristales, Queen Salerma already forgave them because she loves her daughter so much
and they ruled the Kingdom. While the Kingdom of Berbania was ruled by Don Pedro who already
change his nasty attitude because of Donya Leonora. People of both Kingdom live with peace and all
good! While the Adarna Bird is still in Pieldas Platas, singing happily. (The kids who are listening to Lola
Shin is clapping their hands)

Kid 1: woww amazing !!!

Kid 2 : they live happily ever after

kid 3 : yess, im happy for them

Storyteller: Yes, i think we should sleep now. Another story for tomorrow. Good Night Kids. Always do
good and be like Don Juan, brave and polite
