Course Overview:
This course will focus on the core operations of Life Insurance and Non-Life (General) Insurance
Companies. This course mainly focuses on theoretical aspects of the important insurance company
operations namely rate making, underwriting, production and distribution of insurance services, claim
settlement, investment, Reinsurance and so on. Students with the knowledge acquired in principles of
insurance course and knowledge gathered in this course will get to know how do the insurance
companies arrange to provide insurance service to the market. The course is also designed to make
students familiar to different departments of insurance companies through which these companies are
providing insurance services.
