CRAB CURRY

Ingredients

1kg crab
cup oil
tsp fenugreek seeds
tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 large onion grated
8 tomatoes grated or blended
1 tbsp. garlic
1 green chilli
1 sprig curry leaves
2 tbsp. fish masala
1tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp. tamarind paste dissolved in 1 cup of hot water
Salt to taste

Method

1. Heat oil in a large pot and add in whole spices


2. Once seeds start to crackle add in sliced grated onions, curry
leaves and garlic paste
3. Fry on medium heat until onions are soft
4. Now add in crab pieces, stir well and let it fry for a few minutes
5. Add in masala turmeric powder curry leaves chilli powder salt
and stir well to coat the crab and let fry further
6. Now add in the tomatoes and cook covered for10 minutes on low
heat
7. Add in tamarind water and allow mixture to cook further for
another 10 minutes into a thick sauce
8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
