Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is the fourth installment in the DC Extended Universe,

directed by Patty Jenkins and distributed by Warner Bros. A superhero film

based on the DC Comics character of the same name.

Set in 1918, this film tells the story of Princess Diana, who grows up on the

Amazon island of Themyscira. After American pilot Steve Trevor crashes

offshore of the island and is rescued by Diana, he tells her about the

ongoing World War. She then leaves her home in order to end the conflict,

becoming Wonder Woman in the process.

This film became fastly a blockbuster due to the many positive reviews of

famous critics around the world. Personally, I think critics made the people

to love the film even before they watch it, I think thats wrong. People

used to say that this was the best superhero movie so far, then I went to

watch it with high expectations; the film was good, it has funny moments,

nice action scenes and a good characters development. I loved how the

main character started being an ingenuous girl and grows up seeing how

cruel the real world is. I dindt like how Diana and her friends travel from

Themyscira to England and from England to Belgica in the middle of the

ongoing First World War in a wooden raft without a scratch, that was so

unreal as a person with superpowers. Something that I love in a superhero

movie is the final battle, and in this case it disappointed me. The final

enemy didnt look so imposing and the battle ended like a Dragon Ball

fight.

I expected more about the plot, it was so linear, I like when a story has

many plot twist. Moreover, this film only tells about the Dianas origin, it

was actually only a flashback, I hoped to find some information about the

current world situation, maybe a post-credits scene, but there wasn't one.

To sump up, I liked the film, but not much as it supposed to be. It has the

classic love message, a linear plot and, for me, only one epic scene. For all

lovers of superhero films, it coud be a disappointment.
