How did Jim consider God in his life?

Jim Caviezel, the actor who played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ film is being
interviewed by Dave Cooper. The 45-year-old actor described his experience on set while
speaking to the congregation at the Rock Church in San Diego. The whip went over, and I had a
14-inch gash on my back, he said of a physically-challenging whipping scene. I went right
down like in a football game when you get the wind knocked out of you. I saw God. The walk
up Golgotha, the hill where Jesus was crucified, was also emotionally-challenging for Caviezel.
I felt this evil presence come over me, he said. Youre a dead man. I remember thinking this
is the best news Ive ever had, because I know if I die Im going to heaven. This interview is
highly inspiring. He talks about how Gods Providence allowed him to suffer several very painful
injuries and illnesses when filming which allowed him to participate in and portray Christs
Passion in a deep and real way. He tells about the shocking fact that he was struck by lightning at
one point in the production. He gives advice to all Catholics about the seriousness of living the
Faith, not trying to fit in with our neo-pagan society, and the necessity, joy, and honor of
suffering for Jesus Crucified for the salvation of souls. His testimony is amazing and real.
Caviezel also revealed that he was struck by lightning while he was hanging on the cross. His
testimony is amazing and real. His sharing of Gods goodness in his life and being humble with
all the blessings he had receive from God is a proof that he considers and recognize God as his

How would you consider God in your life?

I may not portray one of the characters in the movie about Christ like Jim I will just
consider God in my life by acknowledging Him. For me acknowledging Him means,
Acknowledge His existence. Simple belief in His existence as revealed in Scripture is a vital part
of drawing near or become intimate to Him, like in Hebrews says. I believe that acknowledging
that there is a God means my life is not just my own I should live in his ways and be confident
that there is someone that truly loves me. Second, acknowledge His glory by my life. Bringing
glory to God means making Him greater than everything else, giving Him praise and attention by
what I do every day. Recognizing that its not my own strength that made me to achieve my goals,
or the blessings that I have. Whether in good times or bad I need to be thankful and be trust Him
fullu. And third is acknowledging Christ death for my sins giving me a new identity. The old
self is dead; the old ways are to be put to death. I no longer live, its Christ who is living in me.
This is a reminder to me to turn my back from the bad habits and evil things I used to do for His
glory.
