Subject: Head of Mission - Jordan

Dear Recruitment Manager,

It is my pleasure to apply for the position of Head of Mission based in Jordan. I am presently working as
Assistant Country Director Programs with CARE Bangladesh. My present portfolio include emergency
and development programming. I oversee programs on; emergency preparedness and response,
maternal and child health, livelihoods, nutrition, agriculture, women empowerment, private sector
engagement, and resource mobilization. In my present role, I lead strategy development, program
development, compliance and programs implementation. In my career I have successfully led program
development and raised more than US$ 150M from various funding sources; USAID, DFID, EU, ECHO,
START, CHAF, UN, SDC, private sector companies and foundations.

I have more than 15 years of senior management experience leading humanitarian and development
programs. In my career I have successfully managed multiple office locations and delivered large,
medium and short-term projects funded by ECHO, USAID/OFDA, EU, ROTA, CHAF, IHA/DFAT, UNICEF,
BPRM, DFID, START, SDC etc. I have high quality written and verbal English language skills.

I have been representing at national and international levels to donors, partners and government
agencies. In my present work, I work with Human Resources, Finance, Admin & Logistics, Security, field
operations etc. to deliver successful programs at community level. I also have advance level experience
of capacity building, managing relations and working with national NGOs and government partners.

I am performing the roles of staff development, working on program support and operations functions,
overseeing budgetary management, ensuring quality monitoring and evaluation of projects and
programs. As lead of the country Programs, I supervise 5 Program Directors with overall program staff
strength of 350. I also directly supervise Communications and Public Relations team.

Having extensive experience in program and project management, I have experience and skills of
problem solving, analysis based timely decision making, advising head office on in-country emergency
situation, developing solutions and developing high performing teams. Team development and people
management is a primary role in my present role including; direct supervision of senior staff,
performance management, approval annual operations plans, budget approvals etc. I led changes in
various program, financial and program support policies and procedures including; HR, security,
administration, procurement etc.

I am available on a one month notice to take the role. I have relevant qualifications, experience and
competencies for the role. Understanding that this is re-advertisement I am applying for consideration, I
am motivated to learn and work in South Sudan. I keenly look forward to have a chance for interview.
