GENERAL.
The AS365 N3 belongs to the Dauphin family, which is well known for its unique design. This medium
helicopter has proven its ability to perform any kind of mission, anywhere in the world. It even excels in
the most severe climatic conditions, such as high altitudes or hot temperatures.
The standard AS365 N3 is tted with the unique Eurocopter 4-axis autopilot to ease crew workload and
help simplify the most demanding missions, including Search and Rescue (SAR). It also features excellent
forward visibility during an approach.
The AS365 N3+ is powered by two Turbomeca Arriel 2C turbine engines tted with a Full Authority Digital
Engine Control (FADEC) system. Not only can this aircraft take off in ground effect at maximum weight and
in temperatures of up to +50C, but it is also capable of taking off with a full load from sea level in Category
A conditions.
CHARACTERISTICS.
The AS365 N3 offers outstanding performance acquired from the proven experience of the Dauphin
family. A fast and powerful helicopter with long range capabilities, it is particularly well adapted to
operations in high altitudes and hot climates. With two new Turbomeca Arriel 2C engines and a Full
Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) system, this medium twin engine helicopter offers a wide
range of operation.

Cockpit.
OVERHEAD.
The upper console, overhead between pilot and copilot, contains engine controls, re emergency controls,
heater and windshield wiper controls, internal and external light controls, electrical systems and
miscellaneous helicopter system controls.

LOWER CONSOLE.
The lower console next to the base of the instrument panel and extending through the cockpit between
the pilot and copilot, is easily reached by either pilot. The console is arranged with communication panels,
navigational panels and ight attitude/stability controls and parking brake handle.

Engine and dual ight instruments are on the one-piece instrument panel. The master warning panels are
mounted on the upper instrument panel below the glare shield, to inform the pilot of conditions that
require immediate action.

3. COLD AND DARK control Quick Shut off ENG1, ENG2. All Systems off
4. PITOT COVER control Position COVER.
5. GPU Control CONNECT and DISCONNECT.
6. LANDING GEAR INSERT PIN- safety pin-inserted on ground.
7. PILOT AND COPILOT DOOR control positions OPEN and CLOSED.
8. CHOCKS Control - Position CHOCKED.
9. PASSENGER DOOR control positions OPEN and CLOSED.
10. CABIN CONFIGURATION control - positions PASSENGER and SAR. Change on ground.

11. HOIST ARMED control positions NORMAL and ARMED. Visible only when the sliding door RH is
open.
12. HOIST control positions UP and DOWN.
13. SLIDING DOOR control positions OPEN and CLOSED.
