Cover Letter for Job Application

I worked as a Country Representative for Islamic Relief Worldwide in Lebanon, Jordan and
Libya from 2006 till 2012.

I have a good experience in managing humanitarian operations and have managed many
programs funded by local and international donors.

During my previous work with Islamic Relief Worldwide I gained a lot of experience in managing
remote operations as I managed three countries in the same time after 15 may 2010 till April
2011, through that time I was the Country Director for both Jordan and Lebanon and assigned to
manage the UNHCR and WFP programs implemented by IRW in Iraq. Besides that; I was
representing IRW in Libya-Benghazi and seconded to Turkey.

My work gave me the opportunity to deal with a lot of governmental and semi-governmental
entities in Lebanon, Jordan, Libya, Syria and Turkey and to carry out negotiations with
international donors like ECHO, UNHCR, WFP, UNICEF and OCHA.

I have a high experience in planning, implementation; grant management and, monitoring and
evaluation of humanitarian interventions.

Together with my team mates, I have initiated most of the programs that I managed from its
early beginnings, passing through proposing to final reporting. I have, created a supportive work
environment that enabled all staff to learn and progress.

I consider myself as a self motivated person, having capacity to manage myself and others to
deliver the necessary outputs and being accountable for the good implementation of it.

I have good communication skills, and consider myself as a culturally sensitive, so, I have high
ability to work with multi-cultural teams.

I am highly sensible, and zero tolerant for corruption, financial fraud and the abuse of power.

I have a good experience in problem solving and applying proper solutions.

My work experiences, beside my academic studies in management and business
entrepreneurship will help me a lot to satisfy the requirements of the job.
