Subject Matter: Simple Past Tense
Time: 10 Minutes
Objectives:
Students will be able to practice simple past tense by having fun at the same time.
Students will be able to evaluate their language learning by communicating with their
group members
Students will be able engage with sentence structure by ordering mixed words that
make a sentence.
Required Materials:
Video (that includes past tense usage by showing daily activities) for ex:

Flash Cards (that include words of a sentence i.e.: I, brush, teeth, my,
today
Organization: The class size is 40. The students are divided into groups of five, which make
eight groups.
Rules:
One minute is given for each sentence to be ordered.
Ten sentences are given to students for re-ordering
The group that finishes first gets 100 points. With minus 5 for each that finishes next.
The group with highest score wins.
Procedures and Roles:
The teacher shows the video first and introduces the game next.
Then he/she groups the students and hands the papers (flash cards).
The students play the game. (Ordering sentences)
