The Churchill County
School District Board of
Trustees met Wednesday to
discuss the recent commu-
nity and staff perception
survey results.
Greg Lobdell, CEO of the
Center for Educational Ef-
fectiveness, outlined findings
and reiterated all research
belongs to CCSD; the center
will continue to help digest
and analyze the data includ-
ing quick turnarounds. He
also explained how CEE
factors the information to
see how results measure up
Lobdell said gathering
initial baseline data involves
understanding if the sample
is truly representative and
considering what is going
on in the district. He also
mentioned middle school
responses tend to be more
positive than high school due
to the younger environment
being more connected and
collaborative.

start delving into the results

trict attorney announced
Wednesday his office has
completed its review of the
fatal officer-involved shoot-
ing of Tristan Conti, 19, of
Reno, on Feb. 25, 2016.
Under the facts, circum-
stances and applicable law,
DA Stephen B. Rye said
in a statement the deputy
was justified in employing
deadly force.
Conti and three juveniles
committed a carjacking in
Sparks and took his red

and the juveniles stopped in
