FIFTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME When Jesus preached, he spoke the language of the people; He

Cuando Jess predic, l habl el idioma de la gente; l les comunic
Su mensaje a travs de cuentos y parbolas, escogi comparaciones y
ejemplos de la vida cotidiana de la gente. Sin embargo, algunas de sus
parbolas son profundas y desconcertantes. Ellas hacen pensar a sus
oyentes. Nosotros los 'oyentes de la Palabra,' este domingo somos
enfrentados con verdad, la cual las lecturas de hoy ponen delante de
nosotros. El sembrador y la semilla, buena y mala tierra, la prdida de la
semilla y tambin la cosecha de cien por ciento nos retan y nos
confrontan. Esta parbola ofrece a cada uno de nosotros suficiente
materia para nuestra reflexin. Nosotros gastamos nuestro tiempo,
energa y vida predicando el mensaje de Jess a la gente; pero quin nos
escucha? Nos sentimos solos, perseguidos y abandonados; espinas y
obstculos bloquean nuestro camino; quin podr ayudarnos? Nuestra
comunidad est dividida, la gente est desesperada andando a tientas en
la oscuridad, con su fe resignada y tibia. Es la Palabra de Dios ineficaz?
Jess habla en esta parbola de la naturaleza escondida del Reino de Dios
y la realidad del mal. La semilla representa el mensaje del Reino de Dios,
Su voluntad y sus mandamientos. La tierra representa a varios tipos de
los miembros de la Iglesia. Hay los que escuchan y hasta cierto punto
aceptan el mensaje de Dios. Ya que faltan perseverancia y conviccin y
la Palabra se queda ineficaz. Es esencial no slo saber de la Palabra o
escucharla sino tambin ponerla en prctica y vivirla. Escuchar la Palabra
debe conducirnos a la fe madura. La Palabra de Dios debe ser enraizada
en el corazn y en la mente, debe brotar y producir frutos abundantes.
