SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Dr. Hammamy has over 30 years experience in program design, implementation, coordination and
management in developing countries and conflicat areas. Dr. Hammamy has been working with programs
funded by a variety of donors such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID),
European Union (EU), and the United Nations Population Fund (UNPFA), Islamic Development Bank in
the Middle East, Asia, Eastsern Europe, Africa, and the USA. His experience encompasses cross-sectoral
capacity building, community mobilization, strategic behavior change communications, humaniterian and
emergency services, grant management, commodity security, logistics and supply chain management,
trining, and renovation and equiping of facilities. Dr. Hammamy is fluent in both English and Arabic.

Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Responsible for business development; provide TA
to clients including governments, institutions, and organizations working in health, population, social,
environment, food safety, economic, and education. Recent assignments include starting up a health
governonance project for Palladium Group in Jordan, analysis on business opportunities and impact of
population changes on donors, health ministry and naional population council in Egypt; evaluation and
documentation of new polio vaccine for UNICEFs MENA regional office.

Senior Technical Advisor - Maternal & Reproductive Health & Family Planning Managed multi-
country assignment to scale up best practices in the Middle East and Asia. Developed and organized

Senior Technical Advisor - Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) Provided TA to USAIDs
MNCH Division, Office of Health, Infectious Diseases, and Nutrition, Bureau for Global Health
(GH/HIDN/MCH) and Missions to increase uptake and impact of key interventions to reduce maternal and
child mortality. On USAIDs MCH Element Team, contributed to overall strategies and program
development, and supported all MCH focus countries; backstopped West Bank/Gaza, Yemen and Nigeria.
Represented HIDN in the global USAID health indicator streamlining initiative. In collaboration with

Chief of Party/Iraq - BASICS Project Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and
managing activities for Iraq. Led and coordinated a multi-disciplinary group of technical assistance to
USAID/Iraq and MOH/Iraq. Provided TA to different cross borders activities to build the capacity of Iraqi
health cadre in leadership and management, and in MCH, nutrition, child survival and infant and young
children feeding initiatives with the UN.

contract. Served as technical representative with multi-stakeholders; planned, designed, and produced
national multi-media awareness campaign for CPP Centers; ensured proper adoption and management of
integrated FP, ANC, postpartum, well baby and new born services; designed, managed and evaluated
community based services grants for local NGOs particularly in Palestinian refugee camps.
