All the 1st year MMS, PGDM and PGDM (PHM) students are aware that they have to
compulsorily undertake a project for about 8 weeks during the months of May and June,
2016. All the students are advised that they must start planning for their summer project
without any further delay. For any difficulty or advice they must talk to their mentor. The
students must note that the notice giving details about the rules and guidelines about summer
project will be circulated subsequently. Please find the manual below:-
1. GENERAL :
The manual is intended to provide broad guidelines to the students in preparation of
the project report. In general, the project report shall include in an organised and
scholarly fashion an account of original project work done by the students.
Students should submit one copy to the Administrative Office on or before the
specified date.
The Report should be made in executive bond paper and bound in black, matt finish
with gold coloured embossing and gold coloured Corner safety clips, .None of the
pages should have a border.
Students are advised to keep one bound copy for themselves which the students will
require during final placement.

Students may need to submit one copy to the Company where they have undergone
their Summer Placements.
The final copy of the project report (at the time of submission) should have the
following page margins:

GUIDELINES
1) Use diagrams, charts, graphs, pictures, tables, etc. to make your Project Report of a
better quality. Please insert captions at the bottom of these along with the source, if
any.
2) Executive Summary:-
Executive Summary should be of 1 to 2 pages which is the gist of your project. After
reading the Executive Summary, the reader should understand what you have said in
the Report. The Executive Summary should also contain in brief, Objectives,
Methodology, Sample Design, Sample Size and Major Findings and recommendation
4) Methodology:-
Analysis and Findings will be covered from CHAPTER III onwards. Depending
on the scope of your study, there can be multiple Chapters on Analysis and Findings.
However, if the scope of your Project is limited, then this may require only one
Chapter.
7) Annexures:-
Annexures should include Questionnaires (for primary based data projects), any
documents collected from the Company and/or tables of data.
Should include the list of all the sources of secondary data, internet resources, books,
journals, periodicals, newspapers, conference proceedings, etc. which you have used.
Wherever in the Report you are reproducing some material from the earlier published
sources or using any information from such sources, then at the end of the Chapter,

proper references should be given. The cases of plagiarism will be dealt with
strictly.
