Summary
Environment: Oracle 12c/11g/10g, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x, AIX 5.2, OEM,
PL/SQL, Oracle 12c/11g RAC, TOAD, STATSPACK, EXPLAINPLAN, IBM
DataStage,C++, Weblogic, SQL Server 2005.
Responsible for administration of procedures and practices regarding data access and
upkeep for a specific database technology. Works with project teams to determine
changes needed to the database, models and implements the changes. Supports the
ongoing project efforts and day-to-day support activities for the department.
Manages and maintains data in all production and non-production databases and
replication servers. Maintains security database; generates reports, queries and
documenting.
Sets up access privileges to databases. Creates and maintains user profiles for
database access, including login and password. Configures database parameters,
and prototypes designs against logical data models.
Monitors database for resource utilization. Handles and supports testing and
reporting. Manages database distribution, security and access requirements.
This project is basically for Production Support for six line of business for client. This
project includes providing 24/7 support for production, Dev and QA environment also to
the survival critical production databases, All activities are SLA driven and bound to be
accomplished in timely manner. Project involve working with complex onsite and
offshore model where onsite is primary responsible for support and also for weekend
support, this environment includes working with variety of oracle versions like 8i to
11gr2. Providing support for all the mission critical and HA databases with rac and
environment,
Responsibilities:
Monitoring and Handling the Scheduled Production support Jobs, Handled the
production Abort jobs and respond as per SLA with doing investigation and Creating
Tickets & deciding the priority.
Involved in Analysis of Production Issues and Providing root cause analysis and
summary reports for Supply Management with Data Fix and Job Fix.
Widely used Autosys for automation and as job scheduler where thousands of jobs
running pretty much everything are scripted.
xperience with databases in an Application environment
Involved in Migration of Jobs from Dev/Stage to Production Environment.
Involved in creating, upgrading, patching, decommissioning of the databases.
Responsible for RMAN backups
Responsible for planning and conducting DR testing activities for the DR servers.
Responsible for creating and documenting the entire database related issues for the
team.
Interact with the clients in order to understand the requirement and suggest solutions.
Close communication with other supporting groups like UNIX SA, Storage, Autosys
Group, and Netback up team, all the task performed through constant communication
with groups and clients involved.
Support includes lots of communication and documentation. Communicating to the
groups and customers across the globe.
Responsible and accountable for managing more than 1500 databases across 500
servers.
Implementation with Datagaurd and RAC setup
Trouble shooting Problems by using SQL server profiler. Very Pro actively
identifying the
problems before user complaints
Upgrade the MS SQL server from 2007 to 2008
