TO GROW: A LIFELONG GOAL 2

Making a Difference

Introduction

My name is Jazmine Mejia. I am a new graduate of University of South Florida College of Nursing

program. I am graduating August 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I am seeking to work as a

Medical-Surgical nurse by September 2017. My passion in life has always been to help others in need. I

want to use nursing to make a difference in the world both in my practice at the hospital and through

international medical missions.

Short Term Goals

My short term goal in my professional life would be to pass the NCLEX by the end of August

2017 so I can be an officially licensed nurse in the state of Florida. After I get my license I hope to be

working in a hospital as a registered nurse on a medical surgical unit by September 2017.

Long Term Goals

My long term goal is to use my nursing degree to make a difference in children's lives and their

family. I believe it take a compassionate and passionate nurse to be able to advocate for children and

their families. I aspire to make a small difference through my nursing role. I am passionate about

international travel as well as mission based organization that reaches children without health care

around the world. I want to be a part of giving them the support, care, and resources they need in order

to sustain life. Helping others has always been a passion of mine and I am excited to use my education

to fulfill this passion.
