He is a graduate Engineer in Metallurgy & Materials, encompassing more than 7 years of experience. He
has served in Power generation related projects in Pakistan and Middle East. He specializes in materials
characterization, Composite Materials optimization and modeling, Metallic Materials testing, Lab
analysis, damage assessment and corrosion failure investigations. He possesses substantial materials

The metallurgical Testing includes the micro- structural analysis of varied class of materials like
carbon steels, stainless steels especially with Duplex stainless steels. Checking for the conformity
of the micro-structure with the client requirements. Analysis of Ductile Iron, weld microstructure
of different steels.
Materials team helping with materials testing and composite Testing
Guide Corrosion & Materials Department on the material selection with respect to the welding.

properties and characteristics of metals and metal alloys, and engineering principles.
Reviews and evaluates data to assist welding engineering personnel in the development and
application of new or improved welding techniques, procedures and processes.
Evaluates new developments in welding field for possible application to current welding
problems or production processes.
Support on materials selection and corrosion control issues in design and operational activities
Interpretation, assessment, evaluation and approval of NDT Inspection results including
recommendations for monitoring, repair or replacement.
Worked on CuNi (9-Cu-10 Ni grade), Stainless steel (Austenitic grades), CRA clad pipes with
INCONEL 625, solid INCONEL (ASTM B444-N06625), Duplex stainless steel (UNS S31803
ASTM A790-S31803).

Monitoring and following up all existing projects, such as cathodic protection (CP), chemical
inhibitor and coating applications during monitoring companies and their contractors
Work as a focal point to set up the basic and detailed design as well as the material selection for
different facilities used in oil and gas field with focus on those related to corrosion control
engineering
Corrosion Prevention/Protection plans: Evaluation of Corrosion inhibitors (Static, NACE
Rotating Cage, NACE Bubble Tests and foaming/emulsion test). Injection of Corrosion Inhibitors
at all production wellheads at an appropriate dosage. Maintaining the desired concentration of
Corrosion Inhibitor in pipelines by residual inhibitor analyses.
Corrosion Monitoring Plan: Techniques utilized include ER probes, LPR probes, corrosion
coupons, iron count method, thickness monitoring survey. Reporting the summary of all the data
in a comprehensive Corrosion Performance Report.
Cathodic Protection Systems: PSP surveys of flowlines, tanks bottoms, underground vessels and
wellhead casings (instant-off potential surveys). DCVG Surveys and CIP surveys for determining
location of coating damage.
Non-Destructive Testing: Management and liaison with contractors for DPT, MPI, UT, and RT
Failure Analysis and remaining Life Assessment of Methanol reformer tubes ( outlet pigtails )
Toot Cause Failure Analysis of Creep and Internal Corrosion in High Chromium Steel due to
over heating
Failure analysis of CO reformer tubes in 2016.
Failure Analysis of heat exchanger tubes using microscopic analysis approach
Remedial Study for Acidic/Castic Alternating Corrosion of Ethylene Plant from operational
problems.
