RELICS OF ST PADRE PIO
Celebrating the 130th anniversary of Saint Pa-
dre Pios birth, and the 15th anniversary of his canoni-
zation, relics of Saint Padre Pio will be available for
public veneration in the Diocese of La Crosse on
Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Cathedral of
St. Joseph the Workman, 530 Main Street, La
Crosse. Veneration of the relics will be offered from
9:00 am until 11:45 am and 1:15 pm 6:30
pm. Mass will be offered at 12:10 and 7:00
pm. The 7:00 pm Mass will be in honor of Saint Pa-
dre Pio and will be celebrated by the Most Reverend
William Patrick Callahan. Confession will also be
available throughout the day.

 Due to the storms that affected many in our service
communities, Catholic Charities has activated their
disaster recover procedures. We are working to
support the local Red Cross Disaster teams and are
trying to be present in many of the communities that
have been affected by flooding, high water, and power
loss. In an effort to reach out to those who are not
able to get to the disaster teams, we have set up a
Disaster Recovery Line for people to call if they are in
need of assistance. Catholic Charities provides
disaster relief and recovery services including
emergency food, shelter, direct financial assistance
and long term recovery support. We work on
coordinating services, providing long-term case
management and looking at individual and family

There will be an organizational meeting
for the Holy Family Parish Council of
Catholic Women on Monday, July 31st at
6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall at St.
Johns. The purpose of the council is to
unite all women of the parish in spiritu-
al, educational, and social activities. All
adult women of the parish are members
of this important council. At this meet-
ing, we will discuss election of officers
and future activities and events. Please
