Objective:

Use EDAC for repair help
Instructions:
Note; at this time in DAS there are a few blank screens coming up it in
the testing process. For this workshop module answer Yes when these
screens appear and continue testing.
5. Enter into fault code D117. Does Vacant show up in any of the position for
components that are on this vehicle? YES NO
6. Enter into any of the components that show Vacant. A test screen shows next
and then a *note screen that states the following points are the main cause of
the break. Record the all 5 possible causes.

7. Go back to fault codes and enter D10__. What component is listed as MOST
predecessor? ____________________________________________________
8. Continue with F2. The list of possible test now appears.
Testing
1. Focus on testi ng that pertains to fault code D10__.
2. Continue in SDS with possible tests by performing first test. Does the wake-up
line test show any units not responding? YES NO
3. Note that some units on a 211 (CD Changer and Navigation) will fail the wake-
up test if fiber-optics are bad or system is not functioning.
Repair
1. After all the testing, what did you find causing the problem?
