Arnel: uhbalas (UhSand)
John: balas ra? (Just sand?)
Arnel: semento ( cement)
John: Kana rang duha? Balas ug semento (Just those two? Sand and cement?)
Arnel: Hulmahan pud (Hollow block shaper aswell)
John: Ahh...Asa pud gikuha kanang balas (Ahh Where do you get your sand?)
Arnel: Sa kuanning... (pauses to think). Sa sugar hills (Sugar Hills.)
John: Sugar hills? AhhMao pud na ang ngalan sa kuan pud. (Sugar hills? Is that the name of
your supplier?)
Arnel: Oo, Mao na ilang. (Yes, it is.)
John: Kanang semento? (How about the cement?)
Arnel: Kanang semento adto sa kuan na, LKC ngita nila. (The cement is supplied by LKC.)
John: Dayun kaning kuan kaning mu palit ba, unsa ni muhulat mo nga nay mu palit dayun
himo ramo daan or maghulat mo nga nay mu order dayun maghimo mo? (Do you make hollow
blocks before customers order or do you wait for customer orders and make the hollow blocks?)
Arnel: Maghimo ra daan. (We make them ahead of time.)
John: Ah, unsa ka dugay pud nang maghimo ug usa ka batch ba? Usa ka batch ug hollow blocks
unsa ka dugay? (How long does it take to make a whole batch of hollow blocks?)
Arnel: Kani siya mgamugama kag sa kuan Mu gahi ni siya ug mga tulo ka adlaw, gahi na
na siya. (It takes three days for the hollow blocks to harden.)
John: Tulo ka adlaw ra? (Only three days?)
Arnel: Oo, gahi na na siya. (Yes, it hardens in three days.)
John: Gamiton ra kay katong mold ug, pala? (You just use the hollow block shaper and shovel?)
Arnel: Pala dayun, palpal pang palo ato. (Shovel and palpal to hit it with.)
John: Ah kanang (points at palpal). (That one?)
Arnel: Oo, hulmahan ug kanang tubig. (Yes, hollow block shaper and water.)
Arnel: Sa usa ka bag ug semento kuan na siya unom ka sako nga balas. Gawas dagway na
ug saysenta ka buok (hollow blocks). (1 sack of cement and 6 sacks of sand can make up to sixty
60 hollow blocks.)
John: Kana bang nay mu order. Unsaon na nila pagkuhasilay muy bahala sa sakyanan ana?
(When someone orders, how do they get the hollow blocks, do they get it themselves?)
Arnel: Pwede kung kuhaon nila or pwede pud i-deliver. (They can get it themselves and we can
also deliver the hollow blocks.)
John: Naa ray sakyanan diay para ra pud ana? (So you have transportation for the hollow
blocks?)
Arnel: Naa. (We do.)
