International Book Day

The International Book Day is a

celebration celebrated worldwide with the aim of promoting reading,
the publishing industry and the protection of intellectual property
through copyright. Since One thousand nine hundred and ninety-
five(1995) it has been an international celebration promoted by
UNESCO. On April Twenty-three(23) One thousand nine hundred and
ninety-six(1996) it began in several countries and in Two thousand
and eight(2008) the celebration had already reached more than one
hundred.
April Twenty-three(23) was chosen as "International Book Day",
supposedly coinciding with the death of Miguel de Cervantes, William
Shakespeare and the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega on the same date
in One thousand six hundred and sixteen(1616) . Indeed Cervantes
died on Twenty-two (22)
and Was buried on the 23rd when the date of death was recorded,
while Shakespeare died on April Twenty-three (23) of the Julian
calendar, which corresponds to May three (3) of the Gregorian
calendar. On this date also died William Wordsworth inOne thousand
eight hundred and fifty (1850) and Josep Pla in One thousand nine
hundred and eighty-one(1981).

The International Union of Publishers proposed this date to UNESCO,

with the aim of promoting culture and the protection of intellectual
property through copyright. The General Conference of UNESCO
adopted it in Paris on Fifteen (15) November One thousand nine
hundred and ninety-five (1995). As of that date, Twenty-three (23)
April is the International Book and Copyright Day.

All this spectacle was developed in the educational unit alessandro

volta, through open houses, the students of the school dressed in
the characters of some sort like little red riding hood, the three
piglets, among others.

Ciencia y tecnologa :
The school has the necessary technology so that students can
carry out their practices, but sometimes they have to buy their
materials separately in order to enhance the practices.
Has two laboratories of electronics, electricity and mechanics.

Artes y culturas:
The school alessandro volta has large spaces in which you
can have fun and enjoy its fresh air, it has a large forest
which is kept natural without pesticides.

Deportes:
The school alessandro volta develops internal games, which
compete all the courses with their equipment and sports
clothes chosen by the students.
