Result:
The value must stay constant while measuring. The ground resistance may be 100m
maximum.
Rationale: Alterations in the safety structure of the device can be detected by means of
regular measurements of the equivalent leakage current. This approach involves comparison
of newly measured values with those initially measured.

Evaluation.
The measured values and the measuring method must be documented and evaluated. For
documentation, use the form at the end of this service manual.
Compare all equivalent leakage currents with the maximum permissible value.
In case the values exceed 90% of the maximum compare the measured values with the
values for the device first measured.
If the comparison shows a sharp increase, or former values are not available, the time
until the next check can be shorten.
5.3 Troubleshooting
In any case of malfunction, you should check the wiring at first. Most errors are based on
wrong wiring. Following this table you will be able to identify the damage and needed
measurement for repair. The numbers in brackets will lead you to the corresponding
chapter.
All repairs and changes must be documented; documents must remain with the unit.
Particular attention must be paid to local and other applicable regulations during the
completion of any repairs or other work completed.
Before undertaking any repairs or maintenance work, the unit must be switched off and
disconnected from the power supply. All repairs (apart from the replacement of mains
fuses) are carried out with the unit opened.
Following any repairs or maintenance work to the unit, a complete Technical Safety
Check must be performed.
Please, send back used lamps to the manufacturer for disposal! Never dispose them of
undamaged, follow the instructions of the lamps manufacturer.
