Learning Objective 3.5 The student will develop map skills by

a) positioning and labeling the seven continents and
five oceans to create a world map;
Activity
The teacher will introduce the class to a map of the world. S/he
will begin by explaining what they are looking at and their
location on the map. Over the course of the next few days, the
students will begin by learning about the different continents.
They will then move onto learning about the different oceans.
They will be given the below map to help them visualize the
location of each.

Once the students have learned the different locations, they will
be asked to construct a Prezi showing where each continent and
ocean is. This activity will have a fun component since they will
be asked to include one picture representing each continent.
Pedagogy

The Prezi presentation will be utilized as a studying tool to

prepare them for the upcoming test.
